Anybody know anything about that ?
Maybe he has seen this article from Wednesday.

This is news to me , "Frenchy". I'd love to see the collaboration, though. I like the Mountain West Conference, they play pretty good football. Hopefully, UAB will have a quality coach in place to take on Boise State when and if that ever happens.

No, but I HOPE it's true! I hope we can secure a BCS bid between us. The NCAA might have to grant us the extra game to allow our champions to meet.
UCF, Houston, SMU, and Boise St. want the alliance more than they want the BE invite. They have told the Commissioners to get it done. Now.

First a chance for a bcs bid ,,,
next a NC
What happened to the story that CUSA and MW were going to just have their champions play each other. The link above makes it sound like a full fledge merger.
Can CUSA be proactive for a change ,,,,,,?
Maybe today ,,,,
dead to the Big East and loserville
How many teams would be in this league? 19?

Would any of the remaining Big East teams join the mix?

This could be quite exciting!
Anyone else notice the writer of the post/article on the merger left out a few CUSA teams, such as UAB, Memphis, and Marshall. Just and oversight, right?
You have to give BB some credit for raising the exit fee after the last exodus.
Well, I could not see either league booting a team out without facing severe lawsuits or establishing alternative leagues for them without penalties.

I think he was just picking and choosing the better football programs.

I think they highlighted the most recognizable or successful FB programs.
Hence UAB not included.
Current CUSA/MWC Teams
I can't remember the future makeup after teams decided to leave and others come in. Perhaps someone else does. What are the chances of MWC adding teams to "match" the CUSA 12.

CUSA:
East Carolina
Houston
Marshall
Memphis
Rice
SMU
Southern Miss
Tulane
Tulsa
UAB
UCF
UTEP

MWC:
Colorado State
San Diego State
Boise State
Wyoming
UNLV 0-0
New Mexico
Air Force

Houston, SMU, Rice, Tulsa and UTEP move to the MWC and CUSA adds Louisville, Cincy, USF, West Virginia and Pittsburgh
I would guess that it is possible that some of the western teams in CUSA would go to the MWC part and a few teams might be added to the CUSA remaining teams.
Blazing, are you just guessing or is there some intelligence that you know of?
