All MAC team midseason

Some love for some MAC players on his All American team.

All American Team midseason

Temple's Bernard Pierce and Western's Jordan White are on 3rd team Offense. Toledo's Eric Page is listed on 3rd team Special Teams punt returner. BG's punter Brian Schmiedebusch is listed 4th team, as was Buffalo LB Khalil Mack. Other than Boise St., it seems that most of the non-AQ players on his list were from the MAC.

I'd love to see these guys recognized at the end of the season with AA designation. Good start.
There's that BCS bias showing up again.

Justin Blackmon (28th in receiving) and Ryan Broyles (17th in receiving) are 1st or 2nd team while Jordan White is 3rd team.

You think if Jordan White was 28th in receiving yards he would be on any of the All-American teams?

These teams should be based on production, not how much you are hyped or what team you play on.
Call me crazy but....

Im taking the 1st Team MAC Defense over almost any other...obviously the SEC 1st team defense is probably better, but thats about it, its easily on par if not better than any other conference.

I dont really care what production says; you put Justin Blackmon and Ryan Broyles ahead of Jordan White. No disrespect to Jordan White at all.
Well, he has Illinois receiver A.J. Jenkins on the second team ahead of White. Jenkins caught 6 for 43 yards and 0 TDs with a long of 11 against WMU this year. In the same game, White had 14 catches for 114 yd. and a TD with a long of 21. He was a major factor and burned them repeatedly.

White can do this to any team. Jenkins, not so much. Looks like a case of B1G love to me.

So, JGH - production doesn't matter? OK then, sit Bernard Pierce down for the rest of the season then. What a dumb statement.

Not to hop on the WMU bandwagon, but I bet the same thing would have been said about Greg Jennings.
As for Jordan White, I'm just glad that he's in the conversation. Page should be, too.

They did. He went late in the 2nd round, but hind sight shows that he was the best receiver in the draft that year.
Believing that the best players are in the AQ conferences is for fools. Green Bay does not believe this (look at their roster) and that is why they a champions.05-nono
Probably not, Greg Jennings is one of my favorite players.
