I think they need to invite 4 for all-sports and 3 football only schools. You have to plan on losing 1 member. Air Force, Boise, and Navy for football only.

If the bb schools find a way to let Pitt and Syracuse leave early (2012) and do not accept any new All sports schools. BE football will be dead.

We actually have not maintained our status. You have a grace period to get your conference back to 8. This year we still have 8 teams. Next year when Hawaii, Nevada, and Fresno leave and UTSA and TX St join we will be at 7. We must have 8 by the start of the 2014 season.
