The Big 12 remains atop the ESPN Stats & Info Conference Power Rankings after another strong week by top teams Oklahoma and Oklahoma State who won by a combined 80 points on Saturday.

Six Big 12 teams are ranked in the AP Top 25 for the second-straight week as Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Baylor and Texas A&M all took care of business against conference opponents. For the first time this season, the Big 12 has more teams ranked in the AP Top 25 (6) than the SEC (5) despite having two fewer teams in the conference.

Florida again lost by 25-plus points against a formidable SEC opponent and fell out of the AP Top 25. It is the first time that the Gators lost consecutive games by double-digits since 1992, and the first time that no team from the state of Florida appeared in the AP Top 25 since Dec 6, 1982.

With Florida’s fall from the AP Top 25, the SEC lost the top spot in the component of the Stats & Info Conference Power Rankings that measures AP Ranks. Despite the fall, the SEC is the only conference with three teams ranked in the AP Top 10 and four teams in the AP Top 15.

The Big Ten continued to close the gap on the Big 12 and SEC as Michigan State jumped into the AP Top 25 despite not playing this weekend. Now the Big Ten has five ranked teams and three undefeated teams (Wisconsin, Michigan and Illinois). Only the Big 12 has as many teams undefeated as the Big Ten.

Next weekend 14 ranked teams play on the road versus conference opponents. Look for trap games and upsets that may again shake up these rankings.
