Kent had a very repsectable outting against a very good Ohio team the week before. Kent is bad, but still what NIU did Saturday was impressive.

we finally played with passion and a sense of urgency. Thats how you play defense. But, offense football is at an all time high. A positive thing form last game is the field goal kicking. I think our guy has gained a little confidence, however, the ball sure comes off heavy off his foot.

What a difference a week makes!
However, I think Saturday's result was more a case of lousy Kent offense than great NIU defense.
