Well, it beats your speculation on four Super Conferences and they happen to be people who have access to the decision makers...juz say'n.
Chip Brown only reports what Deloss Dodds wants him to report.
Right before the games started for one of the games today, they listed Mizzu did not get the 9 necessary votes to be added to SEC. Haven't seen this public yet,
If Missouri stays in the Big XII then the BIG EAST is saved because IMO the Big XII is done with expansion & I don't see the SEC @ this time going after WVU without not making a run @ UNC, NC State, Virginia Tech & Florida State first & that 20 Million exit fee willl not stop anyone from joining the SEC or Big 1G-(see aTm as an example).

If we are all stuck in the BIG EAST then go ahead and offer East Carolina, UCF, Temple with Army/Navy as football only.
If Missouri is stuck, hopefully, the other teams will push for 12. If i am other members, yeah your payout may not stay as high, but you are in a much better position of strength if the 4 idiots at the top pull this again. I know that won't be until 6 years down the road, but that will go by quickly. I just want this to shake out soon. The indecision and constant rumors is getting old. Seems like Tues-Thurs is all rumors and then we finally get back to the games. for the weekend.
Mizzou is not getting stuck, everyone. Don't mistake the lack of "yes" votes in the SEC as actual "no" votes. A&M went through the same thing a month ago. When the SEC schools actually have to commit to a vote, bank on Mizzou getting in as they are the best non-ACC option out there for them (as the ACC really isn't poachable).
Remember, people, A&M had to actually announce it was withdrawing from the Big 12 before the invitation to the SEC was confirmed. Until that happens this time, we probably won't be able to do much more than surmise. And as of today, Mizzou has only ever announced that it's considering withdrawing from the conference. The SEC isn't about to make anything too obvious until after Mizzou is finished "considering" its options.
I live in Missouri....the buzz here is they are in

While I am not saying Missouri will be rejected in the end, this is not the same as A&M's situation. With A&M, the SEC voted unanimously not to extend an invite to anyone (presumable because they were still members of the Big XII). That is not an issue this time (judging by the 8 current yes votes), so it is a little different. however, I suspect they will eventually get in.
wonder how much the SEC really wants Missouri. Especially while Missouri is making back handed comments while still trying to get into the B10.

That's what I've been saying...I think the B12 add the three of us in "phases".

I read somewhere that Mizzou's exit fee dwarfs the ACC's (even after they rose it).

Anyway, I hope you're right, as the B-12 seems insistent on staying at 12 (maximum).
