Was ever so grateful for the invite by the Big East for TCU. (Longtime TCU fan, 53 years). It was total relief, because we had been tortured by those using "mid major" and other derogatory terms toward us, and won't go into the stuff used against us in recruiting. The Big East had once and for all, brought out of the wilderness of college football.

The only place better for TCU than the Big East, is the Big 12. Geographically, finally more sold out games, and a huge boost to the Fort Worth economy. Also it was big in recruiting for us.

I actually boasted many times what the eastern media could do for TCU and that was true. But the break up of the BE and all of the above were too much for TCU to say no. Feel bad about it and somewhat happy at the same time. But that has been the story for TCU for the last 15 years. Southwest Conference to Conf USA, to the Mountain West, BE, and now the Big 12. Good grief, I just hope all this is over soon.

Good luck to all the Big East. Saw where Rutgers wanted to play us anyway and hoped they wouldn't have scheduling problems because of our withdrawal. We owe Rutgers that game.
Unfortunate that we wont get to see what the new Big East could of been like, but after Pitt and SU bailed and with the landscape the way it is, you guys had no choice but to accept that Big 12 offer. Theyre a better fit for you guys anyway. I have no ill will towards you.

I just hope somehow USF can find a good home in all this. I'd love it if we along with UL, UC, and WVU could join you in the B12. Seems like a long shot though.

Frogs will need a OOC game in 2012 as we were scheduled to play Oklahoma who will now be a conference game. Maybe we see Rutgers in 2012.
I definitely hope to get a nice OOC series on the books with you guys. Tim Pernetti according to some sources was the person pushing hardest for TCU once Jamie Dixon made the initial contact. I'd like to see a nice 4 game set on the books. I have a funny feeling Rutgers will be an independent again soon anyway, hopefully not for very long and we'll find our way into the ACC or B1G. Additionally, this is the first realignment move in this realignment of 2010 and 2011 where the move will benefit the game by renewing old conference rivalries.

No hard feelings. After what happened with two stalwart BE schools like piit and cuse, TCU had to look after itself. Good luck and God bless. I would love to see a home and home series with you guys. I hear Ft Worth has great barbecue.
I'm happy for your guys..love your coach and program.

I'm sorry it all didn't work out...I think had you been in (and cuse/pitt stayed) we may have had a fat check coming from either Fox or NBC but it just wasn't meant to be I guess.

best wishes in the B12...hope to join you down the road.
Was fearful of responses to my post. Proves there are gentlemen in the Big East.

I was all settled in to post on this board, now I must seek out someplace new to post, and I'm sure, to put up with all those arrogant UT jerks. You haven't experienced arrogance 'til you meet those people.
BTW, there are huge numbers of TCU people who want to stay in the Big East. LeBreton wrote an article in this mornings' Star Telegram, advising against joining the Big 12..

I was against the move too, 'til I realized the situation. It just makes too much sense economically, and for stability. OU and Texas got no place to go, so the Big 12 will be here for decades.
No need to apologize. Louisville, West Virginia and Cincinnati will be right behind, you, if we get asked. So would South Florida, UConn and Rutgers. Congratulations. 04-cheers

R.I.P. Big East Football, Notre Dame and the Providence Crew killed you! 04-rock

can't be worse than OSU football fans and UK basketball fans....and lucky UC sits right in the middle of both
