I know its been planned for a while, it seems kind of odd to be celebrating 20 years when the entire fan base is pissed off and want the coach fired, the team is 0-4, there might be more Bell ringing MSU fans there than UAB fans and the many on the team are mourning the loss of a former teammate.
Wow... I am getting old!
Do we really need reminding about how bad we have been for 20 years.
Give me 20 years of bad over 20 years of non-existing anytime.

If you are bad, you can get better.

If you are non-existent, you stay non-existent.

The BOT and the UAB administration seem more than willing to grant your request. But with the wrinkle that you are bad in a new mini-stadium.

It hasn't all been bad.

I loved watching Joe Webb play, for instance. He never led us to a winning record. There have been other great players and even a few winning seasons.

The main point of the "celebration" is to keep former players involved with the program and in touch with each other. That is a small part of the process of growing the fanbase. Of course, winning would help.

Also, when this was planned, we weren't 0-4. Very few of us foresaw such a horrible start.

Yes, there have been bright spots and fond memories. Even some of the losses take on a more positive light when given the perspective of time.
