Highly suspicous.

No one with the last name starting with a Z is on this list. Pure smoke screen.

Also, I really dig the personal attention given to each prospect. I'm sure more than one Sharpie was depleted in filling out name tags.

Considering the plethora of folk here I'm not sure the staff was able to take in a Kid Rock concert. Bummer.
Any info on these three?

Quante Hill Kalamazoo Central HS – MI
Jamaal Conger Kalamazoo Central HS – MI
Bishop Robinson Loy Norrix HS - MI

I'd hate for a local to end up in Mt. Pleasant, it just looks bad.

B Rob has been touted by Steve Bell but recently called out for not living up to his potential. Shooter I believe.
Wait. I get it. Simple math.

Kick off or have 80% of incoming folk leave in a year or two.

So as you throw them out the back door you need to bring in the front door roughly the same amount each and every. Makes sense.
Jamaal Conger and Quante Hill are the most underrated kids in the class of 2013 and coaches need to check them out! They're both out of Kalamazoo Central that is looking to 3 peat this year!
Yes, they were so good that KC never even brought them up to varsity........even in the tournament.............even when Buchanan was out for an extended period of time.

KC won't even win their league this year.
yes, Jamaal Conger is a gaurd that was not gonna play over Daquavion McCants-Wilson that's why he didn't get moved up. But he's on the rise so watch for him this year. Kalamazoo Central is going to blow everybody out in their league like they have been doing since Coach Thomas arrived! 3 peat!
Thomas is an idiot, who has lucked into a couple of good classes. We'll see what he can do with average talent.
Other HS coaches have had superior talent and they didnt win back to back state titles.
The best thing that could have happened to KC basketball was if Von Washington (the principal) could have coached the program. He would have been great. Other than Joe Haklin KC has had a string of questionable coaches. For me anyway the jury is still out in regard to Thomas. We'll see what he does when Norrix, BC Central, or Benton Harbor fields competitive teams.
so you guys don't think KC will win their league this year? Stupid.

Von. Is one he'll of a coach and one of the few guys almost able to talk me out of my current situation. He made some damn fine points. when he offered me a job last winter. One of about 3 good principals I have ever known in KP

Yeah 3, that's about right. 03-weeping
Kalamazoo Central? Wasn't there a huge fight and gunshots at their commencement earlier this year? Isn't that also the school where several of their basketball players, including the captain at the time, were charged with jumping a couple kids just because they were white. This was several years ago when I was still a student at WMU.

With that being said, apparently CMU, Western, and Oakland are a few of the schools talking with Quante Hill.

Your stereotype is as outdated as saying the "Sidewalks in Holland roll-up at 9pm". This is not the same Kalamazoo Central that you are referring to.

Attend one of the K-Central home basketball games now days and often there is a WMU coach in the stands. WMU has offered scholarships to recent KC basketball players, who chose to go elsewhere.
National High School of the Year means nothing?

What, is it "KKK gets in free day" here at BroncoStampede. Commencement is at Miller Auditorium you idiot. No shots, no problems.

Their basketball team were model citizens. Never once did they have a problem.

You said this was several years ago...............1968???? 01-wingedeagle

Whoa... everyone settle down a second. You guys are a little out of control. First off I'm not stereotyping anything, I'm asking a question.

Secondly, ChipDip, it was not at Miller Auditorium, you idiot, it was at Wings Stadium. http://www.mlive.com/news/kalamazoo/inde...ngs_s.html

Also, ChipDip, you're wrong. I knew the two kids who were jumped. Was good friends with their families. They went to court and everything to testify against the kids. It happend at the Kalamazoo 10 Theatre there on West Main by US 131. Unless there is another Kalamazoo Central? This was 2005 I believe... kids on the basketball team, one of the kids father was a pastor I believe.

And it was because they were white, the players said so... said it was a "gang initiation" thing. Sent both of my buddies to the hospital... messed them up pretty bad.

I know they were on the basketball team because one of the families said one of the players was being recruited, but that stopped after the incident.
Quote:This was 2005 I believe

2005 eh...........gee, now that's real relevant to now isn't it.

You brought it up trying to incriminate the current basketball team..............Oh, but it was 2005 Emily Lattella............"Never mind."
*sigh* No, not trying to incriminate anyone on the current team... that's why I said, "this was several years ago" in my original post.

I trust Hawkins and his staff. If they are talking too and recruiting players from there, then I trust that they are character student athletes.
