3 weeks of frustration and near wins, and getting cheated. Good well disciplined team out there today. It was a pleasure to meet some of the Toledo fans in the parking lot both before and post-game. Hope we can get things back on track and meet up in Detroit.
It was pretty impressive. I didn't expect Toledo to respond as well as they did to the adversity. Hats off.

WMU @ Toledo is shaping up to be a showdown.

and thankfully thats in Toledo, and unfortunately on a Tuesday night. If its for the West title, parking will be a nightmare
Nice win by a top 25 team who I did not look past for one second. I new Temple would have a difficult time matching up with Toledo's dynamic offense and Toledo's no huddle offense was no joke. Very impressed with what this Team was able to do and with their confidence. Barring more injuries, this team is going to be ranked soon. Congrats to Toledo.....Wouldn't be surprised to see Toledo get an invite to a BCS conference soon.
Tough philadlephia weekend... Congrast to the Rockets...

Hoepfully Temple gets a rematch... but I got a bad feeling that another 8,9 win season with no bowl is on the horizon.
Victory,

I agree this could be another dissapointing season but only if Addazzio doesn't make the important decisions that weren't made in the Toledo game such as benching stewart after his forth bone head play of the game. There was a chance Gerardi could have lit a fire that Stewart failed to do and could have made the game more respectable. However the decision wasn't made because Addazzio is convinced Stewart isn't the Quarterback we come to know and love? Anyhow, I pray this team brings their A game the rest of the season and put the guy (MIKE) who gives us the best chance to win behind center.

I was very impressed with Toledo. They were snapping the ball every 10 sec on offense. Very well coached team. That being said, Temple can not win a game against a good team with 3 turnovers and a QB that can't throw the ball accurately more than 10 yards downfield. Temple will continue to struggle against quality teams until they get a qb that can play...

You have a BAD feeling about an 8 or 9 win season? Wow! Realistically you couldn't have hoped for anything better than 9 wins, right? Nine wins is a good season for anyone. And with 8 or nine wins you WILL be in a bowl- not a great bowl, but a bowl/
Never heard of a 8-4 team staying home ..... please see last season

Realistically after beating an ACC team by 30+ and starting the season 3-1 ... 9 wins would have been the worst you should do and still can be... It will be a crying shame if Temple or any MAC team with 8 wins stays home again. Temple, WMU, Ball State.... who is the team that won't get a bowl this year after a BCS win? You beat a Big Ten or ACC team that goes to a bowl with a 6-6 record or better but because of the Bowl money system the MAC school will sit home.

There will be a 1 to 3 MAC teams that stay home that will have winning record.

Anyways congrats on the win Toledo. 5 more days to the next one.

8-4 when you lose to 3 teams in the conference will do that to you. But I can't see Temple losing two more MAC games. OU is the only potential loss. I don't think any team that Temple plays has the ability to stop Pierce.Toledo lost their 4 games last year with 2 being OOC and quality losses even if they were blowouts. OU, and Miami at home don't qualify as "BCS" Caliber losses. And no Temple fan should act like Uconn was such a big win, that they got shafted from being in a bowl. Uconn was good, but ended up 60 in the sagarins and was not top tier BCS team. They were comparable to the Seattle Seahawks as winning the NFC West when the Huskies made a BCS game.

There's more to getting an AQ conference invite than winning against good MAC teams. Also, with 3 losses I wouldn't expect to see Toledo get ranked at all unless maybe if they ran the table and won their bowl game against an AQ conference school. It's the nature of being in the MAC.

Not sure I totally agree, only because Temple's QB appears to be really bad. Toledo built the template for slowing Temple down - stuff the box and make the QB beat you. You can bet every team on their scheule is going to do the same thing now.

I originally liked BSU's odds this week, but we just aren't near as deep as Toledo and injuries are becoming a huge problem. Lembo essesntially held out over a 1/3 of our starters agasinst Oklahoma because of injuries, and then we proceded to lose more starters in that game, including our stud safety, Sean Baker. Thus, I'm not near as confident about the Temple or OU games (and now CMU, as they come from nowhere and hang 48 on an experienced NIU team). I was never overly confident, but I do feel all AMC games are winnable this year (though Toledo seems like a long shot at this point). WMU also looks really good.
Toledo showed two easy ways to beat Temple....

Make them pass.
Hurry up offense/mis-direction.

Both destroyed Temple...

Temple QB Chester Stewart was 9-9 for 140 yds. against Maryland.

All those yards came on short throws...he can not throw the ball downfield at all...

Someone needs to show Addazzio tapes of Stewart from last year. It sounds like Stewart might be like our starting QB Radcliffe. Great practice QB but you never know what you're going to get in a game.
