I think there's something wrong with the poll. There's an option to vote yes.

Might want to fix that.
Slightly ahead of Dan Beebe, for what that's worth.
30 votes and 1 guy voted yes. Curious who that was, a C-usa fan who likes that his incompetance has opened the door for them maybe?

Marinatto just joined. Look for his new post coming soon "The positive impact of ND in the BE"

Oddly enough, it wasn't a CUSA fan. It was somebody from The BEast, or so they say...
I know who supports Marinatto more than anyone, Judy Genshaft.
Marinatto ***** on the can with an Anthlon Big East Basketball mag in one hand and his pecker in the other.
Doesn't need playboy.

I voted yes. Not sure what he could have done to keep Pitt or Syracuse, and he's just trying to maximize revenue and replace teams, which is all you can ask.

Somehow if we added ECU and UCF right now, I don't think the current 7 will all of the sudden say "we love the BE and want to stay forever". The negativity is a result of factors outside of his control...

If he ever wanted to MAXIMIZE revenue, he and his predecessor would have expanded past 8 football teams a LONG TIME AGO!

That's one of the few things everyone can agree on is that its NEVER been about MAXIMIZING revenue...his priority has always been the protection of the Catholic Hoop Schools as #1.

I don't know about that, honestly. More mouths mean splitting up the pie more, sometimes. Depends on the model. The BE can get into more markets cheaper than big football models with its hybrid model, since the basketball onlys get us in markets without having to get a full TV share. One of the reasons I think the potential BE TV deal was so robust.

Hint: Big East is the ONLY BCS Conf to now lose FIVE All-Sports Members...as Big East is the ONLY Hybrid BCS Conf with 3 different types of members...and is now considering a 4th hybrid to their mix (football only).

Seeing how the other FIVE BCS Conf make a lot more $$$$ than the Big East...and ALL have more football teams compared to the Big East's current 8 (now 6 current teams), seems that the other BCS Conf figured out a long time ago (SEC went to 12 FOOTBALL TEAMS in 1992) that FOOTBALL WAS KING in regards to the $$$$$$$.

The BE has had a model that was looking at up to 20 million per team per year before Pitt and Syracuse left, and that was without any big name football programs and with a on the field struggling image.

The SEC model is great, but we aren't the SEC. We don't have big name football teams with huge followings. What we do have is excellent basketball and tons of markets, along with several solid football programs. To eschew those two strengths in favor of a football only league seems like bad strategy. I don't think we'd be able to add the value that we'd lose by giving up those strengths. You have to play to your strengths. Just my opinion, of course.
Enough Big East coaches are willing to disapprove of Marinatto behind his back for Jeff Goodman to write a column about it:

http://eye-on-college-basketball.blogs.c...6/32197246
Been holding steady at 5% approval. I wonder if he'll have a ressurection and get everyone behind him when he adds the service academies
i might change my vote to hell no at that point.
