I mean if Texas does not budge and they do not get rid of Beebe, OU has to go somewhere. The SEC would be nuts not to take them. I do not think the Big 12 is done yet. While the SEC gets fat, The Big East is killing itself adding Nova and Vermont or whatever the hell they are planning.
OU has said it doesn't want to be separated from both OSU and Texas. They are also working on academics and I think care more about how athletic conferences reflect that (right or wrong) than A&M.
Taking A&M, OU, Ok St, and Mizzou would be quite the coup for the SEC. Ok St and Mizzou would join if OU does i would imagine so the SEC should be putting the full court press on OU right now.

With the current state of affairs I could see the SEC telling A&M "nevermind" and not expand at all.
Texas played this right. They waited.....and the Pac-12 balked. I think Texas would now have the sense to try and make OU somewhat "happy" now that they have been turned down.

That would suck for A&M. They really want out at this point. The A&M Texas game will be very fun to watch this year

well they already invited them, plus, Baylor should let the option to sue go now that they got their wish w/ OU.
Let the OU to the SEC thing go. It ain't happening.
Put two and two together on this one:

1. OU comes out and say they are willing to stay in the Big 12 if blah blah blah blah blah.
2. Tonight the PAC 12 says they are not expanding

I'm 99% sure the PAC 12 notified the Big 12 schools that the presidents decided it would not be in their best interest for the conference to expand at this time. Scott gave OU the chance to save face thus OU makes the announcement they are willing to stay in the Big 12. Tadaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!

how willing will Texas be to meet the demands of Oklahoma knowing they have nowhere else to go but the SEC

Very willing in my opinion. It is in the best interest for both OU and UT to stay in the Big 12.

Plus if UT does that, it make the conference more appealing to future members.

If Mizzou doesn't accept the SEC invite. I'm going to agree with Rebel and say they stand pat at 13 for now and take a few months to re-evaluate the landscape of expansion/realignment.

Prove what? It's a prediction and there is NOTHING to say they are coming, have been offered, or have asked. I think the burden is on you. You west coasters are hellbent on trying to prove to us southerners you know more about us than we do, aren't you?
Also, someone earlier today stated the report that WVU was rejected by the SEC was actually false. So is WVU really out of the running for the SEC?

I live in Birmingham and gets ton of SEC talk and rumblings. The SEC would love to have OU but those in the SEC inner circles have acknowledge that OU does not want to be in the SEC. And trust me, the SEC has approached OU several times only to be turned away. You never say never but chances of OU landing in the SEC is 0.0000001%
