Being reported by Colen Dunlap who broke the Holgerson story

As Dandy Don would say, "Turn out the lights, the party's over"... :band:
I dont blame them. Im happy for them. Really sad that the USF-WVU game will end though. This is a sad week, I really enjoyed playing in the Big East for the past 7 years, sucks that money has ripped it apart.

I dont like what's happening to college football.

Really hope USF can find a seat before the music stops
USF, UC, and UofL will merge with the remaining Big XII schools, plus a few others. I'd say the others will most likely be BYU, Boise, and whoever else gives them the most football strength to secure BCS AQ status. Sorry UofL and UC fans, that means no Memphis...
As I mentioned last week and got ripped, a very reliable source who posts on the MU board (who is not affiliated with MU) indicated that the 5 B12 schools have negotiating with UC, UL, BYU and Pitt to form a new conference. Pitt was waffling (I guess we know why). The developments over the past couple of days sure lead one to believe that their may have been some truth to this. FYI, as I implied, a couple of the hoops schools (MU and DePaul) were also included in the discussions.
Congrats Eers fans. Best of luck moving forward
Congrats Eers... Will be rooting for yinz other than the Brawl.
i wonder if missouri did as well, or are they still holding out ope for the b10?

Sounds good, but Memphis brings a bowl game.

They might need that.

Memphis also brings a corporate sponsor for the conference.

They might need that too.

We'll see.
Congrats to the 'Eers! Though I'm sad to see the end of a budding rivalry in both sports between UC and WVU, it's an exciting time for you guys.

Seconded and I'd love to see us continue in all-sports OOC as often as possible. The WVU-RU partnership over the years has been great for both schools. A shame to see it go.
I hope WVU gets in the SEC, given the success of their athletic programs they deserve a home like the SEC. Not sure I can say the same for other schools who have found themselves getting invites to better leagues over the years.

Congrats WVU. Call me not one bit surprised.

It appears the B-12 is going to get hit real hard too. Without Texas around, there will still seem to be a solid home for you guys. UL/UC/USF/TCU will thrive (assuming RU/UConn also go ACC) with the B-12 remnants. Add BYU/Boise and call it a conference.

Convince them, not me. If it were up to me, I'd wait until Memphis has proven over a period of time that they can be successful on the football field, and maintain that success. That would require 5 years of football success at a minimum. But they may have less stringent standards. Ask 'em and see...
