OK fans, here is my take on things leading up to the big Wisconsin game.
1. Is it me, or has it been routine for NIU to be referred to as anything but Northern Illinois University on the radio, in broadcasts, whatever. A metro area with 200,000 alums and NIU still gets mislabeled in its own backyard? What's up with that?
2. Wisconsin 42, NIU 16.
3. There are problems with the ESPN3 broadcast.
4. Wisconsin and NIU fans get into parking lot skirmishes when drunken Badger fans rip NIU for stealing the Badger color scheme.
5. Some smartass Badger fan takes a swipe at the Bears and it leads to him getting punched in the face.
6. The turf holds up well enough.
7. This ends up being the last time NIU plays at Soldier Field.
8. The Alumni Tent runs out of mini hotdogs.
9. The parking lot police come down on Huskiemobileman and his band of brothers. Who has bail money?
10. Wisconsin wins the Big 10 over Nebraska and Michigan State.
11. NIU beats Toledo, gets back to the MACC, and loses in another heartbreaker.
If we beat Toledo and and Western Michigan and play in the MACC we will win the game.

We beat Wisky, go undefeated in conference, win the MACC, and go to a crap bowl game. Wisky ends up 12-1 and ends up in a BCS game.

Time flies by but I believe that the 2003 team was pretty good and that was 8 years ago
It appears babydick still thinks NIU will never play SF when next year will be the third game, oh well, at least Purdont will beat Southeast Missouri State this week for him, well maybe.
