Listening to the Radio last night, and on The Loop they were talking about big sporting events this weekend. One of them was Northwestern vs Wisconsin at Soldier Field. Is that before or after our game?

what sucks for NIU is I looked at the REDEYE today and it has a lists of bars and who they support
they have notre dame, texas, kansas, wisconsin, northwestern, illinois, purdue, michigan all around chicago and none for NIU....
why did they put NIU all the way in crap DEKALB.. we needed to be in a suburb!

What? If anything niu's problem is it's too close to the suburbs, so everyone goes home. Its easier to establish an identity away from a big city. Only NU of that group is closer to a big city.
Did anyone hear Doeren on WSCR yesterday, Mulligan said Doerian, is that technically correct, I have not heard it pronounced like that.

Also you have to figure that 116+ years ago DeKalb was a heck of a drive from even the towns in the Western Burbs.

YYEESSS!!! All of the crazy things we are doing to move the school forward, and dropping the directional title is barely discussed. When SWMO became Missouri State, they said the total cost was 350k, and that applications and alumni support jumped up immediately...

and considering we just released the new NIU logo, I don't think its going to change any time soon.
We are good as NIU but we just need to keep making the news...for good stuff.

Are you kidding? That was just my personal rendition of an announcer announcing the free tickets.
I listen exclusively to the 24-hour Polka station, streamed live from Gdansk. I am technologically savvy enough to enjoy it as it polkas its way over here on the ethernet. Sometimes I even VOIP over a special request. I listen intently during lunch as I chomp down a Maxwell St. polish loaded with grilled onions. Nothing like it. My office associates do not have the same appreciation for such finer things in life, however.
