Teams that impressed me the most this weekend:
1.)Temple- won easily against Akron, fired on all cylinders
2.)Toledo- lost but competed to their fullest
3.)BG- has won two games against sub-par teams but they're doing it with style
4.)WMU- don't know how good Nichols St. is. Obviously wasn't a tough game, great win.
5.) OU- 30-3 is good, but geesh the schedule OU plays bugs me.
6.)Buffalo- showing superiority over FCS in blowout fashion.
7.) EMU- Alabama St. isn't a bad team, but a 7 point win is under-achieving IMO
8.) NIU can really score, but their defense is suspect in a loss to Kansas.

Teams that dissapointed:
1.) Kent St. looks like they're going to lose to La. Lafayette. Disapointing to lose to the SBC.
2.)CMU- c'mon it's Kentucky!
3.)Ball St - hoping for a better outcome, but USF is very good.

How I rank the teams:
Toledo- looked the best overall, and is battle tested
Temple- gotta play someone good to move up even though have impressed me.
OU- 2-0 easily, still not the best team in the MAC
NIU- NIU will move up but going on this weekend, the D concerns me
WMU- in the Michigan game moved the ball well.
Miami- idle
BGsucks- 2-0 against nobody's
Ball State- Indiana was a good win, USF is what real tallent looks like
Buffalo- hung in there with Pitt, pounded SB
CMU- ehhh
KSU- underachieving right now
EMU- hasn't played anyone yet, going to be 2-2 very quickly
Akron- No Defense, may be another 1-11 season.
this is perhaps the worst week for MAC football i have been a witness to....loses upon loses ...games that we should have won....the best we can say is that we were CLOSE with some teams...some teams in the BIG 10, Big 12, SEC even the SB....but close is just a nice way to say loser. sigh

There have been worse weeks in the past, where every game against BCS was a slaughter-fest. Or losses against FCS squads.

But NIU and Toledo being this close (and CMU kinda stalling out in the second half) stings a lot, even though it's better than if they all lost 38-0.

It would've been quite a story for Toledo had they pulled it off, knocking off both UM and OSU on the road within a five year span. I'm not sure how many would be able to say the same.
Ohio rolled again with strong defense leading the way.
Toledo played well vs Ohio State and had a chance to win. Defense with an explosive offensense. Page will torch the MAC.
NIU had it and lost late at Kansas. The defense is a Question especially when you see Toledo's got a defense.
Temple vs Akron in a conference game. Pretty much expected.
South Florida won at Notre Dame, so can't fault Ball State today.
WMU rolled over a MEAC team. That was expected
CMU didn't get blownout vs Kentucky, but Kentucky didn't lite up WKY either. Kentucky is bad I'm afraid.
EMU- they get a close win and start 2-0, now they got to play FBS from now on.
Buffalo- solid win over Stoney Brook. Shows gap between the MAC and a potential expansion canidate.
BGSU- blowout over a FCS team. Most improved MAC team so far.
Kent St- new coach and they are off to a slow start. They look more of a 4-8 team than a team that would contend in the east.
Was hoping Ball State would make a closer game of it but oh well. USF's very good. NIU's loss disappointing, in that any MAC team with a pulse in their passing game will give us fits.
I would say Temple and Toledo are tied for the best. Nod slightly to Toledo for hanging in vs tO$U, although they should've won. NIU's D is pillow soft.
I was really hoping/thought NIU would beat Kansas.

I fear our LBs are going to kill us all year. And we didn't get enough pressure from our front 4.

I thought they would blow out KU. KU is horrible.

I don't think they're horrible. Not on offense anyway. But we'll see.

Webb is decent, but they're still one of the worst BCS teams. NIU should've beaten them with their fantastic offense.

Would have been a blowout if NIU had a defense.

Welcome to the club.

You haven't been around long enough.

Ditto. Disappointing, yes but not anywhere near the worst. We really need some OOC wins.

Toledo result was extremely disappointing.
NIU and CMU were games that both teams should have closed out as well and are the type of opponents our top teams should expect to beat.
I thought NIU would go at least 11-1 going into the MAC Championship. Can still happen, but without beating Kansas, can't feel confident going into Camp Randall.
1) Temple - Golden recruits w/o Golden coaching, is there a better combo?
2) Toledo
3) WMU
4) Miami - defending champs
5) Ohio - have not seen them and they have not played anyone
6) da Huskies - tough to win w/o D ; gave up 90 plays and 550 yds vs Kansas
7) BG & BSU - both capable of being higher
Too early to be more specific.......
1) NIU,Temple,Toledo
4) WMU, Miami, Ohio
7) BG, Buffalo, BSU, CMU
11) Kent, EMU
13) Akron

Addazio can recruit as well.
