1) We are not playing a cupcake.
2) A bad team doesn't become great overnight.
Does 5 years count as overnight?
Is this the official Fire NC thread?
I hope not... Way too early for that (for this season) we shall know where we stand more after next 2 weeks. If we are 1-2, the heat will build, 0-3 and all bets are off.

If we lose to Tulane, his a$$ is grass.

Unfortunately, it may be grass, but UAB admin will see it as a nice green healthy lawn.
Same song, 5th verse. UAB puts an undisciplined team on the field that commits too many penalties, commits errors at crucial times in a game, can't tackle, and is bad in the special teams. How many times did the first defender to a ball carrier miss the tackle? Did we ever hire a coach for special teams, or is it still coached by committee? Penalties, penalties, penalties.......I know Florida is probably our toughest opponent, but this is all stuff we screwed up ourselves. They kicked our ass, and we put our foot back there a few times ourselves.

I'm as disappointed as you are, but beating Florida in the Swamp is tough for better and more talented teams than we are. Plenty of errors to bemoan and need to fix, but if you had this one in the W column you must scuba dive in the kool aid.

Reality....I feel the same way I have felt for the past decade. Appalled at how bad our football team is going to be for another long season of "next year".

Good line. Don't jump off the bridge yet, Blazerfans. There's a lot of football to be played. We are not a top 50 college team. But, we don't play in a top conference. We can still have our most successful D1 season ever and I think that is probable.
The blazer football motto is "Next year", every year.

We lost to a team that spends more per month than we do per year(s?). Chill out until we have played a few teams of like circumstances. This may still be the "next year" we have been looking forward to all these seasons.

Your comment, with your signature/photo below it, is like a picture definition of the word "irony."
i loved the speech out of the tunnel
"they are packing the box and expecting us to throw"
opening kick
we run on first and second down and try to throw on 3-10 or something.....
We are a young undersized team. But there are still some teams on the schedule we can beat. We had plenty of redshirt and true freshmen playing tonight in a elite environment. I did see improvement from the defense though the score didn't show it. I wish we would recruit guys with some size the 270 lbs DT's won't work playing against FL. Also the 210 lbs LB's and 170-180 pound Saf's won't do it either. I would play a good solid first and second string to keep from playng so many freshmen but due to injuries early through fall camp that would make our coordinators jobs very hard. So tonight was a very to take I do see some positives and won't call for NC head but if its the same come versus Tulane at the Legion I would hope we make a move and would hire nobody on the staff.
Auburn has linebackers that weigh 210 lbs and less that's not the problem
wE HAVE BEEN LAST IN RECRUITING FOR cusa FOR THE WHOLE CALLOWAY TENURE......SO THAT IS WHAT WE GOT.
So people scream when they see the light coming, others wait until the train hits...

Lol...wut?

We were in the top 5 the last two classes...not that recruiting rankings matter. But keep on keeping on, man...
Come on, at least stick to the facts hell Blazer. No point in everyone over reacting but I do understand it's Blazer fan's nature to jump off off of bridges at the first sign of trouble. I saw an improved defense for what it's worth. If we see a similar performance against Tulane then I may join you guys on the ledge but I think we will see a Blazer team with something to prove next Saturday.
