Power came back on sometime late last night. It was pretty awesome actually ... felt like a Zombie apocalypse the way it was sooooooo dark and people walking on the streets. And that was actually great to see - in all of this darkness, folks were still walking around, with their children as well, with flashlights, etc. It was awesome ... my father-in-law had a gas stove, so we had a small meal at his place, who lives about 5 miles away. Other than that, right when I got home, I saved my beer from the fridge and consumed it outside just watching people - I conversed more with my neighbors yesterday than I ever had living there for 2 years now - crazy how simple life gets when you cut out something that is a necessity in our everyday life.

I bet you could really see the stars. I met more neighbors during Hurricane Elvis than I had ever met in my 30 years on this street.
Glad your lights came back on. But you never really lost your "power." We gots the power!
