OSU Stadium Rules below (there are "many") as passed on from the UT Alumni Association plus bus trip details....

Quote:Dear Fellow Alum & Other Friends:



Thank you for making plans to be part of Alumni Association-sponsored activities as our University of Toledo Rockets travel to Ohio State University to play the Buckeyes at Ohio Stadium on Saturday, September 10. I’d like to take a moment to bring you up to date regarding activities surrounding the game. Departure time is 5:45 a.m. from Rocket Hall on the West side of Main Campus. Donuts and coffee will be provided. Please park on the North side of Lot 25. Upon arrival at Rocket Hall you will check in at the registration tables to pick up your packet. The packet will be labeled with the name of the person who made the reservation. Your packet will include your name tags, football tickets (if applicable) and wristbands for the pre-game tailgate brunch. Please note that you must wear your wristbands to go through the food line.



Our Pre-game Tailgate Brunch will take place at the Fawcett Center, located North of Ohio Stadium off of Olentangy River Road. The event runs from 9:15 until 11:15 a.m. The pre-game program with the UT band and cheerleaders will begin at approximately 10:15 a.m. Once the party has ended it will be a 10-15 minute walk to the stadium. The Game time has been set for noon.



Ohio State has very strict rules regarding what is permitted at the stadium. Please note the following items are not permitted:



1.
Alcohol

2.
Animals (except assistive animals for guests with disabilities)

3.
Audio Recording Equipment

4.
Backpacks, Bags larger than 14 x 14 x 4, Bota Bags or wine skins, flasks

5.
Banners and Signs

6.
Beverages

7.
Bicycles

8.
Cameras (still) with lens greater than 100mm (along with Monopods, Dual Pods and Tripods)

9.
Chairs with back supports (unless accompanied with a doctor's note or unless those provided through Ohio State), Folding Chairs, Portable chairs, Stools, Lawn Chairs

10.
Clothing with profane, inappropriate or abusive language

11.
Containers (common examples include but are not limited to hard sided coolers, soft pack coolers, ice chests, picnic baskets, cans, bottles, thermoses)

12.
Computers

13.
Confetti, streamers, glitter, balloons

14.
Fireworks

15.
Food

16.
Illegal Drugs

17.
Laser pointers

18.
Markers (permanent) and/or paint

19.
Noisemaking devices (common examples include but are not limited to whistles, air horns, bull horns, blow horns, musical instruments, kazoos, bugles, cow bells, thunder sticks, sirens and boom boxes)

20.
Sticks or Poles

21.
Strollers

22.
Signs

23.
Sports Equipment (common examples include but are not limited to balls, beach balls, footballs, baseballs, lacrosse balls, segways or other motorized scooters, skateboards, and roller blades)

24.
Televisions

25.
Video Recording Equipment

26.
Weapons (common examples include but are not limited to aerosol cans, mace, pepper spray, firearms, including CCW permit holders, fireworks, pocket knives, knives, spiked bracelets, brass knuckles, martial arts weapons, stun guns, squirt guns, super soakers and chains)

Wrapped gifts or items





The following items are permitted in Ohio Stadium:




1.
Binoculars

2.
Blankets

3.
Cameras (still) with a lens 100mm or less

4.
Cell phones and pagers

5.
Draw string bags smaller than 14 x 14 x 4

6.
Rain apparel

7.
Seat cushions

8.
Small radios with headphones

9.
Umbrellas: Guests may carry umbrellas into Ohio Stadium for use before and after the game, but umbrellas are NOT permitted to be opened in the seating areas of Ohio Stadium)

10.
Guests demonstrating specific dietary or medical needs (baby food, baby bottle, single serving snack medication or chair back seats) may enter the Stadium at Gates 13, 16, 23 and 26 ONLY.

Does anyone know how strictly they enforce these rules? Are there patdowns upon entering the stadium?
Now how are you supposed to really enjoy a game at the 'shoe without a lawn chair, roman candles, and a Christmas present?

Don't know, but you can always ask for one.

they're pretty strict about the rules. they don't do a full pat down, but if you're carrying anything into the stadium, like bags, purses, etc., they normally check them.
no still camera with a lens greater than 100mm...they want to make sure you CAN'T see $hit from your seat.
