Loving Northern Illinois' chances this season! If they can get past Wisconsin, BCS bowl might be in their future!

That game is a long-shot for sure. But watch out for the Huskies. NIU's offense might be strong enough with Hopkins and Harnish splitting reps.
I could only hope, but i'd say if us and Boise St. were to go undefeated we already know that they'd go with Boise St.

I liked our chances better before Wilson decided to transfer to Wisconsin.
It's Ohio by far.

I was going to say Temple, but you talked me out of it.

Well I better start enjoying the next two weeks, then, 'cause I must be a goner.
What kind of Vegas odds would I get if I said Toledo?

Now THAT would be awesome. Well, not really, for me. But you get my point.

It would put Toledo in the BCS and maybe even the National Championship game. LOL

Ohio could very well go undefeated with their schedule, but with that schedule I don't think they would get high enough in the BCS standings to get in a BCS game.

Even though Ohio's non-conference schedule is manageable, they're not going to be well tested by the time they hit their tougher MAC games...that's why I think its actually better for a MAC team to have it tough in the non-conference and prove themselves, making the road to being undefeated more realistic...that said, I think NIU has the best chance....

As good as NIU is, I think we're more likely to beat Penn State and Maryland than they are to beat Wiscy.

I don't. NIU will be able to score with anybody, and Wisconsin's defense wasn't exactly dominate in week one.

Yeah, but their offense is ridiculous.
They use the run a lot too. They will try to wear you down. While I give them a shot (mostly because I want you to win) it will be a major upset.
Ohio last unbeaten regular season was 1968 when they were ranked in top 20 and that also was Ohio's last MAC title in football.
If Ohio goes unbeaten and wins the MAC title game at 13-0 they would need to be ranked in top 12 and be ranked above Boise State and TCU. Ohio would need Temple, Toledo, NIU to have big upsets non-conference and get ranked in top 30 to generate a late surge of computer points. So far the MAC going 8-5 helps. MAC champ should be ranked by years end. I think you could see Ohio, Temple, Toledo and NIU with 10 wins or more. MAC will likely have 6 teams with 7 wins and bowl eligible. MAC is on pace for its best year in a long time. MAC had good wins over FBS teams like Army, Idaho, NMSU and a BCS win over Indiana. Been a long time since MAC had a 8-5 first week. Even EMU had a good game and won big. Except for road games vs top 25 BCS teams the MAC Won. We had a better week than the PAC 10 and ACC in my opinion.
