Am I being paranoid in the fact that he is an X grad and he could have done this now in order to hurt the program? I know that sounds silly but this is insane to do this now. I cannot figure out why other then a consipracy theory. We are now the laughing stock of the Big East.
No it was Zimpher and her huge ego. She had a grudge against Huggins and also the wrong perception.
The same wrong perception that is ruining the university.

I am not absolving her of anything here, but Cox was the one who who made the initial decision to do it now.l He's the Chairman of the Board. She did what she was told to do.
I think that they were afraid of what would happen had he been successful this year in the Big East. It would have been that much harder to get rid of him, which was their plan all along.

I've always had a real hard time understanding how a Xavier man could possibly have UC's best intrests.
What I dont get is how some who dress so bad, bad teeth, fired a coach and piller of the community for no reason, and then claim to be all about image?

I truly believe Cox is the main reason this went down the way it did. Zimpher is an ego manic as well and he catered to her UC21 delusion, knowing what to say to her and everyone in the right circles to get rid of Huggs (the guy who had more power then him). Cox and Zimpher both sicken me, but his actions are the most vile of the two.
According to Cox's Q&A in the Enquirer, it was Huggins' fault that this happened now. I have read the correspondence between Rimai and Katz. Rimai purposefully mischaracterized Katz's letters and comments as representations that Huggins no longer wanted to coach. Katz corrected Rimai's misrepresentations, but Rimai et al. were determined to portray this as Huggins' fault. That came out during the press conference last night. What a transparent spin job.

Remember master manipulater. He is placing the blame on the person he actually had a major part in victimizing. I see right through him, and his lies.

I'll give my thoughts on the time...Warning, they don't paint a positive image.
Recruiting was completed. (got some milege out Huggs name)
Summer quarter was over ( no students to protest)
Fall Quarter does start for a couple weeks ( no students to protest)
Schools that are on a Semester system already started ( recruits can't transfer without losing a year to these schools)
Planned events which make all the comments about Huggs delaying the talks ring hollow. Fact is this was politcal and Huggs was never given a chance.
They are scum. SCUM!
