I think nothing short of wins by both teams will improve the Big East's image.
Though it's always fun to beat the ACC, Bulls over Domers will do a lot more for our image. On the other hand Cuse needs to win no matter what--it's Wake, for gosh sakes. A Cuse loss and the Domers blowing out the Bulls would be the worst case scenario.
A couple or so years ago, I think it was at least two Big East teams (Pitt and UConn?) beat ND in the same season, but the league didn't really get any credit for that.

i agree , but the irish are much better now and ranked.
i think the cuse beat wake is big and usf playing the irish tough is bigger. a loss in a close qame is ok.

Pitt, Cuse and UConn all beat ND recently and the media was silent.
OOC this year WVU over LSU is a statement game, and to a lesser extent if UC can win at Tennessee.
SEC is the best conference, so beat those guys.
It's embarrassing to compare SYR-WF to Notre Dame-USF.
Obviously, the Bulls game is MUCH bigger from a national Big East prestige/respect point of view.

Cuse NEEDS to win.
USF needs to not get run over, preferably win.
Cuse winning OOC games (and RU for that matter) needs to happen for people to respect Big East more.
Both losing would be tragic.

Defintely USF versus Notre D*ck. This will be a good game and could lead to some nice conference hype if the Bulls can pull it off.
