If it's down to the wire, I'd think that means he has a good shot at the practice squad at least.
Through three pre season games, Spann has 5 carries for 17 yards. I wonder of they limit carries for players they already know they want on the practice squad in order to "hide" them from other teams.

All of a sudden Sam Hurd is on the bubble with the Bears given infatuation with Dan Sazenbacher (aka Token) out of Ohio State. It would be a stretch to think the Bears carry 6 wide receivers UNLESS Hurd can get healthy and really show something on special teams tomorrow night.

He has a 3 yr. contract and is a ST ace. End o' subject.
Hurd's not on the bubble.. he unfortunately may get less chances at WR now, but he's on the roster unless the injury means he can't play at all.

Rumor has it they test at Bowl Games in Idaho sometimes......
I think the Colts will carry 4, since they do not have a fullback position. I also think Chad makes the practie squad based on Evans making the team and Jarvis no being eligible for a practice squad position based on being in the league for 2 yrs already.

Because maybe the Colts don't want to lose him.
