Seeing all the negativity on this board makes me as a new poster wonder what kind of fans we have in Cinci? Are we going to stop going to UC football and Basketball games just because our coach is not there? And if so where do we go? Do we root for any of the other schools arounder here? I wouldldn't think so. Can you imagine yourselves rooting for X? UK?
UD? Miami? or god forbid the school that sent us the Zimph, OSU? Or are we just going to drop watching sports all together.
Lousiville lost Crum and it turned out allright, Illinois lost Bill Self to Kansas and they almost won the NC. UK lost Pitino and they seem to be doing OK. Why not us? Or are we just going to pout and act like kids just because we lost our favorite coach. As for me I'll still go to the UC games. Are you really going to root for X, UK, Ind, UD, Miami or the big state school in Columbus?
Hell no I won't root for those other schools.

I will concentrate on weeding out the cancer in Clifton.

Target 1 Zimpher
Target 2 Cox
Target 3 Wyler

welcome bearmkt.

this ain't the time to take the temperature of the board members regarding support for the program.

the negativity is focused in a specific direction, and that arrow points towards the idiots running the show.

stand down for now.

Did any of those scenarios take place in August? FYI now Bruce Weber must win with his recruits.

People who understand a little thing called reality. This university just stabbed a man in the back who has been nothing but loyal to them. He turned down the NBA to be loyal to this school. He turned down his alma mater to be loyal to this school. The man was dead on the floor of a Pittsburgh airport and didn't even miss one freakin practice...and this is how his loyality is repaid? To be humiliated to the national public? To have 16 years of work flushed down the toilet by some ego-maniac whore? A witch that sends a man he considered one of his best friends (Benedict Goin) to spit in his face before they threw him out. You're going to continue to support that? Do you have a soul? Public outcry over this was overwhelming, and Zimpher simply didn't care. She just said F you and your opinion...but still keep giving us money. Anyone who continues to support that program has no interest at all in what's best for the university. As long as the money keeps rolling in, Nancy will be there smirking at you.
The whole damn school can burn down as long as that zunt is at the helm. Who is she to come in and ruin what we all have loved for 16 years? I grew up on UC hoops and I'm smart enough to realize that the negative "reputation" is as reputable as the bathroom wall. To hell with it all...This university has turned its back on a proven winner and a proven difference maker. I simply can't support such nonsense.

The UC wagon has crashed and burned. There no longer is a UC wagon. There is now only the University of Zimpher, and I want no part of that...

Thanks, gruehls.
I'm torn...I've invested 15 years into Cincinnati. I have no ties to the school, I live hours away, but I feel like a piece of me is missing.

What will I do on a winter night?
Why the hell did I buy an HD set?
Who do I root for?

I feel like if I root for Cincy I've turned on Bob, if I don't I've turned on the players.

Will my employers EAP cover my therapy?
You can still root for the team (I know I will), just do it from your home. Do not support the University financially in any way. Hit them the only place they care about...their pocket books.

You are really ignorant. First of all Crum retired from the university at the right time, and was not forced out. He is still very much apart of the university. All those other coaches were not treated like a turd on the side of the road and just pitched out. Their administration wanted them there, and the best for their university. This is definately not the case at UC. If Huggins left and we tried to keep him, and went out and hired the best possible canidate for the situation and tried to win, I would still support this program, just as much as I always had, even if we didnt win a game. But, that is not the situation. We have been kicked in the nuts, and now they expect us to get back up and still drink their koolaid, until they kick us again. I say **** them, and kick them in the nuts(that includes Zimpher).

I am still going to support them this year, while the seniors and Kennedy are around, but after that... I dont know, until that ugly clown looking ***** dyke is gone.
I've got too many years invested in UC and am a graduate. I won't donate money to them, though my boss is still debating what will be done with our basketball tickets. I will still support the players as it isn't their fault, but will strive to see Zimpher run out.
Delhi,

Great post. That captures my sentiments exactly. Huggs has shown incredible loyalty to the university, the team, the community in Cincy. It is in vogue to stress the importance of eductation and to take stand supporting the academic side of any university. She is being opportunistic in getting rid of someone she didn't like....someone that questioned her authority. But in the end, less contributions means less money to spend on new buildings, new programs, new computers...undermining her purported goal of focusing on eductation.
Hey Sully nice pic of you and Hicks! He is a BEAST! I will continue to support the guys. Although watching them on t.v. is not the same as being at the game. Would it be considered turning my back on Huggs if I got student tickets for free?

Not as long as you didn't buy any concessions or beer, and booed "the witch" should she ever have the guts to show up for a game...

We're not pouting because we lost our favorite coach, we're mad as hell in the way it happened! If he had of retired, quit, moved on, no one would have blamed him. Yeah we would have been upset, but it would have been on his terms. This attack and all out war to get rid of him is why we're pouting, because it's NOT RIGHT, NOT FAIR, JUST PLAIN WRONG! I know life isn't fair and this is just another really good example unfortunately! And as for rooting for those other schools, not in a million years. I'll watch from home.

Thanks, Eric is awesome. 03-wink He is definitely a favorite of mine. I am furious at the admin. for putting him and all the other guys currently on the team in this predicament.
