assclown has a column in the Enquirer about how people shouldn't stop giving to the UCATS because it only hurts the athletes. :mad:

He will get an email on this. He is already partly to blame for this whole Huggins deal.

He is in danger of being on the most hated list.

Per Nancy Zimpher's vision, why should people like us care about the athletes? The school should just disband the Athletic Department.

Doc is a tool. He leaks the story for the school. Now he's listening to Zimpher's command to get more money. I guess he realizes that his current professional trade will shortly now longer be economically viable and is already seeking new employment.

It was Zimpher's job to consider the financial impact on the school by dismissing Huggins. Daugherty is naive if he thinks people shouldn't vote with their wallets. It is the most legally impactful way to make a statement. Zimpher is hurting the student-athletes.

I read a bit of that column this morning. I almost puked. Doc is partially a smartas$, and the rest is just plain dumbas$. He picks fights, he infuriates fans, he casts untrue aspersions on people and programs, and then he sits back and watches the fall out only to say “see, I told you so

I emailed him this morning, and he actually was very polite (unlike normal). He said he understands why people are pulling their money out of UCATS, but that he thinks that they are taking it out on the wrong people. I told him that UC gave us no other option... the only weapon we have against the Wicked Witch and her Board of Cronies is to pull our money out of the University...

Yes, i think we should support the players and the athletes, by showing up and rooting for them (and booing the zimphomaniac every chance we get), but like ya'll said, pulling financial support is a consequence of bad management (NZ), and the consequences are her fault. It's not the people pulling support hurting anyone, it's NZ and her people...

What if all the players leave as well? We will lose most of our recruits and first and second year players because of this. Who are we supposed to support if we show up at a game???

that's true. But at least for this year with the returning players. We have to support this year's freshman if they stay. Other than that, there may be no one left to support in a couple years...

I will no longer read doc. Is he on th boycott list. He must be in ***** pocket.

Doc was the trustees inside man. He is their houseboy.
