You do not boycott UC football beacuse you are mad at the UC administration. We have a promising young head coach and 105+ players and coaches busting thir butts to represent the university. Protest Zimpher and her BOT buddies at the game but go to the game 9/01/05 and afterwards. Why wreck football because the basketball program is a mess right now? That makes no sense.
We are in the Big East- do you want to screw that up?

History would very much suggest that you are wrong. To wit, over 500 years of the classic Russian defense -- the Scorched Earth Policy. NO UC athletic team or academic part of the university will in good shape until Dr. Zimpher and her cronies are gone. Sometimes one must accept short term pain in exchange for long term gain.
I dont give a frogs fat ****** what history suggests. You withdraw support from UC athletics and you will be the next Temple. I don't want to get kicked out of the Big East. It is a GREAT opportunity. The best forUC sports in our lifetime.

I realize I don't have a dog in this fight.. but if Memphis fans had been packing the stadium for Rip Scherer's terrible football teams, he'd still be coaching the Tigers. And we would currently be at 35 years and counting, since our last bowl appearance.
The University of Cincinnati is a business. And, like all businesses, the primary focus isn't to provide outstanding service... but to make money.
If you hit them in the pocketbook, you'll get your point across more effectively than even a nationally televised protest march down main street.

Football is what will keep us a healthy and long-term member of the BEast. It's pretty clear BBall won't anymore. Once we're out of the BCS, we're NOT coming back.

We're all fans or we wouldn't be wasting our time on this message board on a nice August evening. I respect the opinion of others and what they feel is the best approach to the indisputably piss-poor handling of this entire fiasco. Even if I strongly disagree with the approach someone chooses (as in this case) I won't question their loyalty as fans. Just my opinion.
