I had this thought though. Maybe the Big 12 being unstable is attractive to ND in some sick way. Think about it. If it works, it works and they're a conference big dog. If it fails and the conference disbands they finally can say "Hey look, we tried the conference thing...it didn't work...our independence is proven"

No longer can others say "Don't knock it till you try it"

So yeah, I don't really believe what I just said...just a "different" thought that popped into my head and figured I'd share.
