Guess Ditzmer is spewing the same lies to everyone who sends her an email. This is her form letter...

Thank you for taking the time to write to me and to share your views regarding the University of Cincinnati Men?s Basketball Program.

Please know that I am listening to the many community voices speaking on this issue. I understand that you wrote out of concern for the university and our city and that you want the best for both. Though we disagree on the handling of this particular issue, I know that we both want the best for this university and our city.

There has been a great deal of misunderstanding and misinformation regarding recent events. Many people think that I and the UC Board of Trustees ?chose? to part ways with Coach Bob Huggins at this time. We did not.

Mr. Huggins publicly affirmed, on May 16, 2005, his desire to finish coaching at UC under the terms of his current contract. Then, in July 2005, Mr. Huggins contacted UC through his agent to request that we reopen negotiations regarding his employment status. At that time, he made it clear that he no longer wished to fulfill the terms of his contract. Thus began the process of negotiating Coach Huggins? separation from UC.

I wish that the timing of events could have been different. However, the timing was indeed controlled by Mr. Huggins and dictated by his approach to us on July 12, 2005.

We were not able to provide public notice of these events earlier in this process because of the confidential nature of personnel discussions. We were forced to do so abruptly and in a way that surprised many of our supporters in the city because of a public records request by news media. We regret that it was impossible to provide advance notice to our supporters.

Throughout recent events, we have recognized Coach Huggins? record of achievement and have worked to accommodate his interests. Till July 12, we thought Mr. Huggins would be coaching in the Big East. However, because he decided that he was unable to honor the terms of the May 16 agreement, we have worked to develop an equitable separation that is fair to all concerned.

I appreciate that you took the time to write. I hope you appreciate that we want our students to win in the classroom as well as on the basketball court and playing fields. With your help, our high expectations and commitment to excellence will be realized, and we hope you will join in our efforts.

Best regards,

Nancy
bull****, rollever Huggs contract and none of this happens. You are a liar and a spinmeister.
No I havent got a damn email response from her after 3 tries.

You would think having a Harvard email address would command some respect. No such luck, unless perhaps she is crafting a thoughtfully planned out response.

What she doesn't say, that Huggs attorney confirmed on the radio is that after he declined the buyout, she started all of the sneaky stuff. He had to call her office when he arrived in the morning. He had to call her office when he left in the evening. they sent UC police to the players dorms to interview students and see if they could dig anything up on the players. There are many, many more sneaky things they did. They made it impossible for him to work and then she tries to portray it as Huggs quit.

Generally speaking I am a fairly polite person when I post. HOWEVER, she is a first class ***** if there ever was one. If she were male, she would have been beaten silly for that stuff -- and deservedly so.
I received it too.
To which I fired off the following:

Ms Zimpher,

This form letter confirms that you didn't read my email. My email addressed far more than the Huggins issue. It dealt with the insulting comments you made about the quality of an education at UC, prior to the start of your career at UC. Your vision for UC at this point at time is myopic at best.

Now I can't reasonably expect you to read all the negative emails you are getting. But you will continue to hear from us. Our voice as alumni and customers of the University will be heard.

Once again I expect you to address the points of my e-mail and apologize for the negative comments you made regarding the quality of education at the University of Cincinnati.

As civil as I have been, is it unreasonable to expect some clarification on your comments? I am surely not the only alumni upset about the misguided comments you made on this situation (once again I am referring to comments disparaging education). As an English major you surely should know how to communicate with an audience.

I look forward to your personal response rather than a dismissive form letter.

Submitted respectfully,
my form letter, was a little different but similiar.
