Heard a commercial for the game on 670 the Score about 1:15-1:30pm today.

Included a Bill Baker TD call and the Huskie Fight Song in the background.

Thought it was well produced and should catch people's attention. Mentioned Tickemaster for Tix.
Did it say "buy your tickets because it's the only way you'll see the game"? 05-stirthepot

It should have mentioned that they can tune the game in on their computers and watch it stream in glorious color, with as few buffers as possible - as long as they are signed up with a preferred ESPN3.com IP in an area of the country that even has a preferred ESPN3.com IP available. Welcome to the big time, boys!! :ncaabbs:

Gee, this is an important game. I wonder if the SCORE radio broadcast will be blacked out in Chicago?

I would have placed the odds at 1000 to 1 that the Wisconsin game would not get television coverage. I mentioned this before but the single fact it is not on TV makes the event a failure in my opinion.

I just find it funny how so many on here say espn360 is so easy to use, and a few so popular. That is NOT the point, and I think most get it. It is a failure and bs pulled on the MAC, NIU in particular of ESPN to play some little damn politics with us by using a big ten team as leverage and not allowing the game to be picked up, show it on an actual espn tv outlet. That is the reality of it.

Agreed. That is what I meant in other thread about this not being "the spirit of the MAC/ESPN deal". Seems like a low blow to me. I just hope behind the scenes the MAC and/or NIU made some fuss about this and did not just bend over with a smile.

I totally agree with your point but I am trying to focus on the positive here. Complaining about this on the board will do nothing. Write to Compher, the MAC office/twitter and ESPN. Then hopefully something will be changed over the off-season.

Anyone writing Compher for that online chat should submit these 2 questions:

1) Will home scheduling ever be a priority at NIU?
2) What can the MAC do to break out of the ESPN contract?

Compher made his statement, he is part of the MAC. MAC makes the deal. As stated, we bent over, hopefully and perhaps put up a fuss. You really think ESPN gives a iota about a few MAC/NIU fans? In a MAC matchup, they don't want us on one of the 2 flagships. Now we play UW, a big 10 school and we are a bargaining chip. What do they want?Nothing, just use MAC, us in particular as a chess piece. ESPN could care less, and may even laugh at a letter.

On this board, i think it is more of discussion of the political/business aspect of why some may or may not understand, give and get information on the subject and yes vent frustration with fellow fans since yes, we are frustrated, need to vent since nothing can or will be done.
So would would you rather this be in Madison so they can televise it on BTN then?

Dekalb, IL (as scheduled) would have been the ideal spot even if that puts it on ESPN3.com.

I remember when people said it'd be half Wisconsin fans in DeKalb. lol.

I'm still holding out hope that the "Russell Wilson effect" causes a late huge spike in attendance. This guy is becoming as popular as Lady Gaga.
Might it be on BTN Anybody checked that out?

Not likely 2 other games going on at the same time.

It was probably WD that said that, in one of his previous incarnations.

Will you and your Russell Wilson hardon go away for a while? I live in Wisconsin and I hardly hear or see anything about Wilson. Nothing more than expected. I also listen to both 670 and 1000am a decent amount and don't hear anything about him there. Haven't seen much on the national radar besides him transferring there, getting the starting job etc. I don't know where you come up with this stuff.
