Here's the numbers for Memphis (as of 8/29)

2003 - 13,500
2004 - 16,500
2005 - 20,500

These do NOT include student tickets.
So#1, this is a very interesting post.

Very good numbers for the BE, except RU really should have so much potential...I really hope it is awaken. And UC is going to have a lot of pressure on them. If this is a result of the Huggins mess, I don't blame tem for being angry, but their FB team does not deserve this and the university can't afford it (their are minimun stds).

I would really like to see TCU's yearly comparison; of all the schools moving they are taking the biggest gamble IMHO.

Good job by the Memphis folks!
Where did you get those numbers?

20,000 at UCF??

I wish!!

Plus, USF is still FLAT for their first year in the Big East compared to last year.

No idea where you got this info, but its not right.

Justr for information East Carolina does not count student tickets as part of the total number of season tickets. Plus your data is inaccurate. It is close to 16,000 and if we counted student tickets as many schools do, UCONN I understand does, then that number would be close to 26-28,000.

UConn set a side 4,700 seats for students, in 2003 the year the stadium open there were maybe 1,000 season ticket sold to students. At that time it was only $5 a ticket now it’s $7 a ticket not including bus fee. In term of season tickets sold to students there maybe 2k to 3k but a lot of schools where students get in for free and that boost their attendance by 5 to 10k.
What this means is UCONN has great fan support. I am just hoping they will expand the stadium to a NFL style 55K+. I think if UCONN wins another bowl game or win some big games, the support within the state will reach another new height. People in CT are crazy about UCONN brand and I get the feeling it will spread to NYC and MA.

Now if our bball team wins another national championship, it would be sweet.

Whats up with RU? Damn dont people in NJ care about RU at all? I hope they will some games this year but not against the Huskies.
If Louisville had a larger stadium, they could sell more tickets. I understand the ticket sells were stopped at 35,000 because a certain number of tickets have to be set aside for the opposing team, students, etc. and our little stadium only seats 42,000.

Student tickets are seperate. We have about 32,000 available tickets. 5,000 more for students and 2,500 for visitors.
UCONN just sold out all the single game season tickets. Student season tickets are sold out. Regular season tickets are now 31000+. Its great we sold out the whole season in August!

Something I have been preaching all along. 40K stadium is too small even though UCONN charges very high prices for tickets. I think UCONN needs a 60K stadium, but 50K in the immediate future would be a good start. If we win, I think selling out 50K in CT wont be a problem. 60K would be sweet cause we can line up against anyone in the country.
