he must no for certain that the beast is gonna get a monster of a tv deal, he wouldn't aproach them with no bulletts in his holster, i wouldn't be surprised if notre dame has their mits in a deal with nbc and the big east.
The glass being half empty view would be he's meeting with Beebe and Swofford to make sure the Big East gets at least a reach around this time.

He couldn't approach either commissioner unless he knew some college had an interest of moving to the BE or maybe the ACC or B!2 contacted some BE schools. With FSU onthe SEC's radar and Miami in a scandal AGAINNNN- Swofford probably at home crying in the fetal position.
I think Marinatto wants BE and MAryland but I Swofford aint giving up nothing. That would be the death of the ACC. The B12 is like a baby duck in a pond full of allegators- don't stand a chance. But Swofford will fight to keep the ACC alive with his last breath.
I can't imagine what marinatto could be saying to Swofford. Unless he's wants UNC and DUKE to join an all BB conference. Sounds good to me.
Boys are we going to 14 or 16 teams conferences? Or are the Big East, ACC and Big 12 commiting to stay a 12 each or 10 each?

If that is the case, I'd say maybe sometimes things do change for the better.

Maybe hes trying to be more chummy with them so it will be harder for them to screw the BE?

But they could mean anything. All 3 leagues are "in play". Marrinade has a problem the others don't have - 8 hoops only schools.
Going to be interesting to see what, if anything, is going to come out of this. With the Big 3 not included, it sounds more like a meeting to divide up the leftovers after the Big 3 get done "drafting" teams.
Unless Johnnie M is coming to the table armed with a big double barreled TV contract from Comcast/NBC and backed by the Domers.

This may be the best guess of them all.
Our commissioner want to keep thing as it is. So adding more size to our league is a sure way to destroy our current structure. Trying very hard to get Nova to upgrade and tell football schools he did his job. Plus, if we take schools from BCS league would legitimize ourselves to stand on our own without compromise in hybrid form. I don’t see him do thing for our best interest (football schools).
