just saw that.
Its a no go today. I might not be in 2 weeks.
Man, Texas is looking even stronger now.
its not a no to tamu. its a "we cant agree on who else to take" decision

and buys us more time. i cannot cannot cannot stress how important it is to support the football program this fall. we MUST put butt in the stands. i dont care if you hate rcj or raines or bob winn or the stadium or the highland hundred or TOM III or if somebody was mean to you once or the teams on the schedule or porter or the shade of blue or what day of the week it is or what time the game starts or the 2nd string quarterback. GET A TICKET AND WALK THROUGH THE TURNSTYLE 6 times. what you do the other 8740 hours in your year is up to you. just give tiger football 20 hours. you may find yourself actually having a good time despite it all.
It's looks like the Big 12's media campaign has worked for the moment. ESPN just reported that a high level SEC official stated that the major hangups are scheduling and more importantly the identity of the 14th member. Big 12 has been planting possible schools with media all weekend and it might have scared a some SEC teams.
Did Texas A&M just get played like Missouri did by the Big 10???? I guess we can now go back to thinking about being 25 point underdogs to Mississippi State. I would hope this would serve as ANOTHER reminder of what Memphis STILL needs to do to move up on the list of possible expansion.......HOWEVER, we all know very little will change.

Well played sir.
BTW, you guys should go to TexAgs right now. It's in full CatPause meltdown mode.
Jeb pretty much summed it up.....20 hours of your time is BASICALLY all it takes to support the football program.

Put the agendas, the past, etc aside. PRESENTLY, we have a football season coming up, a beautiful place to tailgate, and a capital campaign underway.

All these other schools that fill their stadiums have families, soccer games, other entertainment options, and all kinds of other potential excuses not to show up every Saturday.

The SEC cannot take A&M until they OFFICALLY leave the little 12. They will do that tomorrow when their board of regents meets. Once they vote to leave the little 12, THEN they SEC can invite them. There are steps to be taken. This isn't over by a long shot.
No soap opera offers more twists and raw emotion than conference realignment.

And you can do it for 90 bucks for the whole year. Three hours of football, a great band for 15 bucks a seat. What a deal!

ESPN is reporting that a high level SEC official stated that there are issues apart from the possible Big XII lawsuit. Specifically, scheduling and the identity of a 14th member.

There are a lot of fears that havent been resolved in this whole fiasco especially those of Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida. None of those schools want a new team in their state or in Florida and Tennessee doesnt want to lose their annual game with Alabama.
This is spin- the idea that the SEC cannot vote to include A&M until A&M leaves the Big12.

Urban legend.

I agree
I think there are three major issues still to be resolved to the SEC member institutions' liking.

1) A possible TI lawsuit from the Big XII against TAMU and possibly the SEC.

2) The 14th member. Certain schools(UF,UGA,SC,UT) don't want to be forced to accept a 14th school from their backyard and want this resolved before they add a 13th.

3) Scheduling and Divisions. Certain schools could lose their cross division rival due to expansion and those are big time games for those schools. Specifically, UGA-Auburn and UT-Alabama.

All of these issues can be resolved, but they havent been yet.
Oklahoma appears to be a good candidate for the 14th team. I guess OK St is a sticking point.
