This will mainly benefit Bachmann and Perry. Move of his supporters to these two could mean a new front runner. I would also bet by fall the debates will be limited to the top 4 or 5. Next to drop out Newt.
Newt won't drop out just yet. I think the next to drop out will probably be Cain. Cain is ignorant on quite a few issues, but I liked him.
I'd like Newt to stick with it, just to control the debate and keep the focus on "not Obama" and away from discrediting the republicans.
Has Pawlenty publicly said he's dropping out?
Another Republican quitter. You righties seem to like quitting. 05-stirthepot

Shut up, fool. I don't know anyone that liked Pawlenty anyway, and didn't your President quit his senate term?
Newt is the compromise candidate if the RHINO's and Tea Partiers can't produce a winner.

You realize this is how the process works, right?

I don't see too many Democrats mounting a primary challenge to a struggling incumbent.
I hear Cain has about $6000 in his account. I think he and Sanatorium is next.

I actually think Romney or Perry benefit more from Pawlenty dropping out. I don't know that many Pawlenty supporters will go to Bachman. I guess it depends on how die hard they were for Pawlenty.

Bachman will fade after a poor showing in New Hampshire I predict. She's finish 3rd in NH behind some combo of Perry/Romney, a distant second in SC behind Perry. She may make it to super Tuesday, but will be done after that. That's my prediction anyway, assuming Palin doesn't get in, which would shake things up more.
Then there is always the Sarah Palin factor.

She's becoming my favorite. Since the Democrats intend to campaign on character assassination, I think she is the ideal choice. She's already stood up to their attacks. Another campaign season of attacks on her just makes them look desperate and classless. I think the electorate would turn on the tactic if she was the candidate.
You actually think she stood up to the attacks? Her character and reputation was completely destroyed among the moderate voters, she's been completely marginalized. At least Bachmann is a real politician, even if you acknowledge the fact she's bat **** insane, she still has a better track record than Palin, ffs.
Palin is NEVER going to run, I guarantee it! 03-wink

I have to agree with you on that. She's a day late and there's a better qualifed woman (Bachmann) running.

I actually disagree about Bachman being more qualified. She's never held an executive level position in her life. We see daily the downside of having someone with no executive experience in the Oval Office.

Based on qualifications, Palin is much more qualified to be president than Bachman.

Was Palin in her second term when she resigned? I thought she had just over 2 years as Alaska governor, if that is the case, she's hardly battle tested.
If you whimps think she is done, better think again. She has already shown more balls than the current CinC. Simpletom and Lostin84 never had any.

She has also just gotten into real money. I can't see her wanting to give this life up now.

She was also a mayor for 2 terms (6 years) and I believe chair of the Alaska Oil and Gas commission. She also served 4 years on the City Council.

2.5 years as a governor is still a hell of a lot more executive experience than Bachman or Obama have combined.

Going strictly on resume, Palin is infinitely more qualified than Bachman.
