I posted this thread in the Cincinnati general thread as I assume the Charter University plan is of interest to all UC people, and has the potential to affect UC athletics.

So how might the semi-privatization of Ohio's universities (which I believe is a part of the new Ohio budget HB 153), affect UC and UC athletics.

On the real estate and construction portion it will save taxpayers a fortune compared to the current method.

Seems the profesor's have it wrong when they warn of huge increases in tuition costs.

As I understand it, a 3.5% cap to yearly tuition increases is to be part of the bill, though there are no doubt ways around a general increase cap.
