sharing free info is different

More like breaking wind
How is it "breaking info" when it was a radio conversation with Verno, not an article by anybody? Verno "broke the story," if there is such a claim. Anybody who heard the program could have posted it. In fact, they did:

Because most dont listen to the radio. (perception is always reality) so reading it in a post first makes it so...

I'm not referring to the post here. I was making that same point. What I'm referring to is a tweet by John Martin that says he "broke the story," when in fact, the recruit told Verno on a radio show, and then some random dude posted it here, too. Sorry, I left out that reference.

The breaking news in that article, which Martin broke, is that Gross is no longer "committed" and will be taking visits to other schools.
Sounds like only one person here can post "info" without getting bashed.

click the link - it doesn't take you to even a teaser story

it tells you to put in your credit card

is it?

a lot of football players who verbal still plan on taking visits, it usually isn't that big of a deal.

no one in football should expect a verbal to equate to a signed loi, as was discussed in the Jovon Robinson threads, it is a long way to February.

if you probe asking questions to elicit that response, you can probably get it. then what headline and interpretation do you put on the story, and how do you offer it to fans? neutral and free, or anxiety producing and directly linked to premium?

if Gross really had such a big change of mind, why not go to a bigger outlet with it, equivalent to his commitment announcement?

John Martin and scout's approach is most certainly not the same as sharing free info.

so they changed it to free this morning - good decision. I wonder why?

and it is what I said it is... the headline blew the story out of proportion
