The man is testy.

Harrison also called Goodell "stupid," a "puppet" and a "dictator," and said that, "If that man was on fire and I had to piss to put him out, I wouldn't do it. I hate him and will never respect him."

That was a very biased piece of writing. She really blew the whole him holding guns picture out of proportion. I don't know of any kid that is looking at Men's Journal... Hell I only look at it when I'm at a doctors office so it will be another 6-7 years before I even see it.
They're gonna see that picture.
If it never made it onto ESPN few people would have known about it.
He should be cut by the Steelers and suspended for the entire year by the NFL. He really made himself look stupid. What an @ss. You can take the ...... out of the ghetto but you can't take the ghetto out of the ............

Wow really... He graduated from Coventry High School which is 96% white... So much for being from the "ghetto"
That area had a very nice fireworks show on July 3rd. Very good for a local event.
And I'd like to point out that Coventry High School is mostly populated by kids open-enrolling from the hoods Akron whose parents think are sending them to a better school. It's rife with drug problems there. They have lockdowns with drug-sniffing dogs all the time.
Aren't we always complaining that players are too polite and use too much corporate speak in interviews and not being frank and honest? Of course I would understand not liking what he said..

Yeah maybe now, he graduated in 1998 when things weren't how they are now.

It was all over the Internet this morning. ESPN would have been way behind if they didn't cover it.

But it IS on ESPN, so it has to be dealt with (Brad's possibly racist comment aside).

Sultan: I'd like to think there's a happy medium between what Harrison said and saying nothing substantial.

If he wouldn't have said it, it never would have made it to ESPN.
He said what many have felt or even said without a mic in their face. He said much abaout Godell that so many people want to say but after giving up so much money to that man he could care less to pull any punches.

Are you implying a correlation between sentence 1 and sentences 2 and 3? I can tell you my children went to a suburban Toledo school with a minority (black and Hispanic) population of 12 or 15 out of 1,000+ students in the high school (I'm guessing that when you say "hood" that's what you mean) and they frequently reported lockdowns with drug dogs roaming the halls.
Well, Mendenhall is a fumble machine. The NFL season should be shorter, if player safety really is a concern. And, Roethlisberger and the offense do get bailed out by Harrison and the defense quite a bit.

The thing I don't get is how Goodell is both a "puppet" and a "dictator" at the same time.[/u]
Mussolini comes to mind.
