we just witnessed something that simply does not happen. ever.

playing a squad like brazil in a world cup knock out game, playing a man down against horrible officiating, scoring to equalize in the dying seconds of extra time and to win in pk's

heartstopping and unforgettable
What an exciting game! To score and tie it with no time and win in PK's That was awesome!
We won that game 15 players to 10. Incredible.
espn2 will replay the game at 11pm central tonight
That was amazing. Simply amazing.
That was amazing. Simply amazing.

*** So amazing I had to post it twice, apparently.
Maybe one of the best efforts in any sporting event that I have ever watched.
Amazing game. Ian Darke called it possibly the most dramatic match he's ever seen, men or women. Finding it hard to disagree.

The girl who faked the injury and sprinted back on? F*** that ****.
That was indescribable.
Man I love America.

Even before the tying goal I do not think I have ever been prouder of an effort from our country's athletes.

Game matches up with anything I have seen for drama.

It's obvious the soccer gods were not pleased with her theatrics.
incredible game ... i screamed when rapinoe crossed that into the box and wambach sealed it with a beautiful header .... ohhhhhhhh how sweet it is!!! and it came in the extra time given for that #13 player faking her injury and coming back onto the field ...
I turned off the TV after the second Brazil goal because I thought the cause was lost. I turned on the TV later to find - to my utter amazement - a USA player poised to kick the winning PK. Wow!
As an aside, there may not be a finer play by play man in the world than Ian Darke.
Anyone else notice that Ian Darke was so caught up in the drama he forgot that ET goes to 120, not 115? At 116, he was saying "And that should be that." as if it was in stoppage time already.

yea, that was pretty funny. Although it wasnt completely his fault. Apparently the clock in the stadium was wrong.

His voice naturally has a sense of tension that enlivens any game.

Plus he has the finest goal call of the last 2 years with van Bronckhorst's stunner in last years WC for the Dutch.

'AN ABSOLUTE FIRECRACKER!!!!!'

Man the last two years both of our national teams have come up with amazing goals very deep into the games to keep their hopes alive. There is no denying the fight and heart of an American
