Guess EMU got $850K for a glorified exhibition game on national television. 03-lmfao

Big question now:

What will the NCAA eventually rule on bowls and scholarships?

If you go to the michigan-football.com site, they don't have an option for a vacated win anywhere, so you'll get credit for a win, like Western's over Florida State in 2006.

The Mid-American Conference: Beating down heavyweights well after the fact.

There is a new reality:

Believe none of what you hear,

half of what you see on television,

but all of what you read on the Internet.

EMU beats OSU!!

I didn't see it but I believe... 02-13-banana02-13-banana02-13-banana02-13-banana
reality is what you make of it...
I give the ruling ten enema sticks up...................03-cloud9
This was OSU's internal response. The NCAA hasn't made a ruling yet. I bet a much bigger punishment is in store for them come August.
Vacated victories... Big flippin deal !!!
The NCAA needs to come down hard on these yazoos in c-bus... The best thing is, that they will still be 0-9 against the SEC in those bcs games...

Vacating wins is NOT a punishment.
Is it possible to give Zero-State the death penalty with a solar-powered electric chair?!

I'd guess ineligible for two bowl years.

Esp. after they played those kids in the Sugar Bowl.

Bowl eligibility punishment 'fits the crime'.

we played them before you did last year, so our win over them comes first! 02-13-banana

What really stinks is the way that bowl game will go down. Had it been dealt with properly those players would never have been in the game and they'd have lost out-right and Arkansas wouldn't have to feel like they've now been offered a gift. And I don't even mean going back to the beginning of the season when they were truly ineligible, I mean when the sanctions came down and they permitted the kids to play in the bowl game...that was just plain wrong! had any of those kids declared for the draft afterb the game they'd have seen zero sanctions, I guess that moron Pryor should've opted opted out afterall.
Toledo once got a victory over Arizona State because of NCAA violations and having to vacate their win too. Pretty cool.....EMU is the first MAC school to register a win against Ohio State while a MAC school........Akron did it back in the 1800's or something but the MAC wasn't around yet.
What is cool about getting a forfeit? You don't really win the game on the field which is really what it is all about. It just pisses me off when teams forfeit. It's hollow. How do you really count it as a win that has any meaning? The game was just a waste of everyone's time, effort, and preparation. Bleh.

not so fast. we played them on September 18. EMU played them on September 25. just trying to keep the record straight! :-)

I guess you could let the cheaters keep counting it as a win. Is that better?

Agreed. Aksme's response leaves me puzzled.
Are you people retarded?

Just because they vacated wins, it doesn't mean their opponents get credited with wins.
