I want to know why you feel youre entitled to judge someone youve never met simply by the way the media portrays the event? Have you ever had to deal with the public backlash of an innocent family member having to go through a trial? Its never totally accepted as right. They are always accused of being a criminal, bad people, and downright trash. The system is in place so that a panel may judge evidence as it is presented. I have pity for those of you that feel jilted because she was acquitted and hope one day you get to go through the terrible feeling of being wrongfully judged by the public based on ignorance and speculation.
Like it or not. One has to live with the jury's decision.

That being said, I could see a romance blooming between Mr. OJ Simpson and Ms. Anthony..................with a sitcom not far behind.
I just think it shows a lot of flaws in our society when people would rather watch a trial with no knowledge and make accusations and pass judgement instead of celebrating Americas independence, that same independence that allows one to stand trial and be convicted or acquitted based on facts and not speculation and opinions. I wish her well in recovering her image and if she is indeed the culprit then one day she will answer for her sins.
You have puty?

nice post. most of us take care of our young. in the event they go missing, we notify the authorities. we dont go party for weeks, get tattoos and lie about their whereabouts when asked by family members. we dont research how to break necks and how to use chloroform on our parents computers.

Is any of that illegal? I wont tell you how to raise your child if you dont tell me how to raise mine. Im not sure she is innocent but 12 people appointed to pass such judgement based on the facts surely did. Unless theyre exposed for tampering or bribery then I see no reason why I should accuse them of being incompetent and false.
get a freakin likfe sheesh

what is illegal is lying to authorities...something she was convicted on four counts of. why lie if she isnt involved. that alone wouldnt make someone guilty but when the evidence is mounted against you it makes you look guilty. her actions during that summer plus her lies plus the evidence against her are enough for anyone to conclude that. i guess all you need is one juror that doesnt see it that way. sad to me

She's got the OJ disease now. :)

Nobody really knows what happen in their cases but them. But hey they probably were never asked directly... "Did you do it?"

"If it don't fit, you must acquit"

In a capital murder trial, they must have a unanimous vote in order to convict or acquit. All the supposed evidence was circumstantial. But then again, Im sure you are a better judge of character and evidence than a Criminal Court Judge and a jury that was allowed to hear the actual trial and not some media perpetuation of the truth.

OJs dumb*** found a way to ruin his life by being stupid and running from the truth. Thats fine by me. Anthony will be given the opportunity to go on with her life. Its not hard to continue on with life if youre truly innocent. However, if youre guilty, one day you will miss a step and the world will once again come crashing down around you.
Holier than thou homefry at it again

wow.. it takes a person of high character to lie to authorities repeatedly and to research some of the things she was accused of researching. speaks volumes to her character to be partying for the 31 days her daughter was missing as well..... im sure she is innocent since that is pretty customary of high character individuals.
She will be doing adult movies in less than three years max.

There's no such thing as innocence. It's guilt or not guilt.

Your OP is spot on though. The State failed in its quest for a conviction.

your welcome
Ah another one of those cases where nodody did it.
I have the same feelings on this matter as homefry. I was shocked and outraged through the whole media circus around this event that a mother could do what she allegedly did. However, my first thought when I read the verdict was, "There must have been a lot that the media doesn't know." The media wanted and assumed that she was guilty because that made for the best story. But I trust the justice system, even with it's flaws. It wasn't a hung jury, it was an acquittal.

yes, actually it is. It's child neglect and endangerment. Very much so illegal.
