Republicans are no more interested than democrats in really addressing the problem. Some republicans are individually, apparently more so than democrats, but neither party leadership gives a damn. They're just on their own little power trips.

And every time he flies commercial, they put what? Two secret service agents aboard with him, and pay full fare for a plane ticket. (800-2000 a fly, depending on class of service, and time of year.)

And a full-fare first class ticket from dca-day is sometime close to 1500-2000 depending on the time of year. Plus his security detail needing seats on the plane, etc. Not much savings. It's a PR stunt. Like Nixon flying commercially, in the 70s on a United 747. Lol
