Always interesting to see the rumors out there, and we've got a diversity of teams people follow, so what are you hearing on the transfer front?

Manchester United- Berbatov staying, looking seriously at Luca Modric and Ashley Young, some interest in Wesley Sneijder, Karim Benzema, Hulk.
Chelsea is "supposed" to spend a lot of money this summer. Some of the rumors are more concrete (as concrete as a rumor can be while others seem more like wishful thinking).

Neymar (Brazil) is the most solid rumor. Chelsea have been linked to him over the last several transfer windows, and Neymar has been quoted as wanting to play at Chelsea. It would be a great pick-up in my opinion.

Other rumors: Tevez, Kaka, Sneijder, Lukaku (Anderlecht), Taarabt (QPR), van der Wiel (Ajax), Bale (not likely with the injury), Hazard (Lille), and Luka Modric.

I've seen most of those players linked to Chelsea in articles, etc. I don't know how solid they are. Probably not very solid.
The ITK on the Spurs board that called the VdV transfer before even the papers had it said that now with Redknapp staying at Spurs for another year that Modric and Bale are off the market in any way unless someone is willing to buy them together at a fee of over 100 million pounds.

Spurs will sell Giovani dos Santos, David Bentley, Niko Krancjar, Heurelho Gomes, Jamie O'Hara, Robbie Keane, Wilson Palacios, Roman Pavyluchenko, and Sebastian Bassong to anyone dumb enough to buy them. Aaron Lennon is available but only for a fee north of 23 million pounds.

Spurs will announce the signing of Brad Freidel early next week. The Scott Parker affair should be over next week with Spurs likely to pip Arsenal for his services. Lukaku is on everyone's wish list and no one knows to where yet. Spurs, Arsenal, and Chelsea all in. Chelsea are the favorites and if they sign him look for Spurs to go after Drogba and Adebayor.

Yeah, who is going to buy him? He is a little Primadonno that puts absolutely no effort into anything other than playing for Mexico.

On a side note, he picked up a brace last night against New Zealand. Maybe if he had a great Gold Cup, somebody will take a shot at him.

Racing Santander took him on loan this year and he was a trainwreck on and off the field. I dont know. Maybe someone in Mexico will buy him. If not, I'm sure some League 1 or Championship team will take a run at him for a loan.

He has so much talent but is unable to discipline himself for a club season. Redknapp doesn't like young players to begin with and going out every night and consistently coming to training hungover aint going to work with 'Arry.

the last few years has been an interesting case study between him and Gareth Bale. Their games are similar and when dos Santos came to North London he was given all of the chances to cement himself on the first team while Gareth Bale was known as the guy who couldnt win(Spurs lost or tied the first 23 matches Bale played). Bale kept his head down, trained hard and learned from the veterans and became a professional while dos Santos became an alcoholic.
Freidel's move to Spurs is complete

BTW, anyone watching the death of Mark Hughes career? What an idiot.

Villa is talking to Marting Jol. That would be a great hire. Spurs fans still hold him in exceptionally high regard.
Ashley Young to Manchester United talk is picking up speed, Kagawa from Borussia Dortmund has hinted at moving to Manchester Unite, and Blackburn is about to sell Phil Jones to the Red Devils.
Fulham hired Martin Jol. Great Hire! The Mad Dutchman is a hell of a coach and I can't wait to see the reception he gets at White Hart Lane.
Liverpool decided to throw 20 million pound and David N'gog away for Jordan Henderson. Yea, Jordan Henderson.
I think Jordan Henderson is worth about 10 million pounds. Then you have to add the fact that he is English which adds another 100% on top of his transfer value, so 20 million pounds sounds about right. I think he will be a good player and won't have the pressure of perfoming right away.

Still waiting to see who Villa hires to see who we will go after. I think whatever Man U wants to pay for Young will be worth it. We have some decent younger talent that can play out wide.

Omar Gonzalez is being linked to Roma this morning. I don't see that one happening.
Roma is owned by Americans. It could happen.

Where does Henderson play? Gerrard is in front of him as will Charlie Adam if Liverpool actually signs him.
