Instead of possibly playing in the unyielding Texas heat, like some predicted, our guys are getting a paid trip to a beautiful part of the country where most of have likely never been. We match-up with the weakest #1 seed- Oregon, who has lost 6 of their last 7 games. I'm sure not predicting we'll beat them, but I don't see a #1 seed out there I would rather be playing. The way we played the last 4 games, you've got to believe we have a reasonable chance of winning.
I really think Georgia is the favorite in that regional...the 3 seed with a 31-30 record.

Creighton is beatable, they just sort of ran away with the MVC this year in a league that wasnt very good. Oregon State started hot and has really struggled down the stretch, and will likely try and save their ace and not throw him against you guys

Once again, I dont know who on the selection committee you guys know, but you were given an incredible favor despite having statistically the worst record in the tournament.

Exactly my sentiments posted earlier, except that I didn't know that Oregon State had lost 6 out of their last 7. Sounds like two teams playing each other that are headed in opposite directions. I certainly am not predicting a victory either, but in any event, I don't think we could have asked for a better draw.
The Trojans play Friday Night at 8pm CT. If they win they play again Sat at 8pm CT or If they lose Friday they play Sat at 3pm CT.

RBL, if you are thinking about proving that you are the ultimate driving road warrior, you better leave today for Oregon! Alternately, the Portland airport is not too far from Oregon State, and the drive down there is no more than an hour or so. When my son was in high school, Central played in a Nike Christmas Basketball Tournament in Portland, and he and I drove down to Corvallis to see Arizona (with Luke Walton) take on Oregon State in the opening game of Pac 10 basketball play that year.

This time of year the pacific northwest is one of the most beautiful places on the face of the earth. Clear skies and great temps. Not like the winter when it rains all the time. But then again, that's why the place is so green.
I really thought about it. I checked the mileage and the airfare and hotels but then decided better of it since I am leaving for Disneyworld on the other side of the country in 11 days. Can't afford it and will save that money for next years basketball trips.

Too bad they didn't get sent to Gainesville or Tallahassee. Could have just left a few days earlier.

But really, I am thrilled with the draw. Oregon has an RPI of 30. Florida is 3rd and FSU is 5th. In beating 3 teams with an RPI of better than 45, this past week, we are certainly playing like a team that could give the 30th best team a real run for their money. Top 5 team may be a different story.
Don't see anywhere on TV or the net that will be carrying the Trojan Baseball game. Too bad we don't have a radio announcer and station to carry the games so we could at least listen to it.
Beating a Big Six team in the NCAA would be huge fun.

We probably will be able to listen to it over the internet, but we'll have to listen to the Oregon State crew on the Beavers network.
It would be nice to see just a little local interest generated in Trojan baseball. Hope the Democrat gives them at least lip service.
Espn3 will stream all games from our regional

I double checked. Arizona State is the only regional not offering a video feed for its games...

Its amazing first of all that of all schools arizona state doesnt offer video, but secondly that Razorback fans will actually have a really hard time getting the game because there are no free links to even audio on the web.

You know if you guys somehow win this regional everything is on ESPN from then on out

For once, and of course just briefly, the Chickenhawg fans get to find out how it is to be treated as a red haired step-child, like the other programs in this state are treated by the media around here on a regular basis. If you look really closely, you will see a small tear in the corner of my eye. NOT!
Most of the regular season games were only available on radio. I assume this game will be too. It's all good.

Not the Razorbacks, they had a ton of TV games this year and they offered video of just about anything that wasnt TV

Sweet. I stand corrected.
