The Golden Flashes are going to head to Texas to start their NCAA Tournament run. It's certainly a friendlier bracket than what Western Michigan had for softball. Texas will be a nightmare (and should win the whole thing), but Texas State is very similar to Kent State and Princeton is an easy 0-2 in this field.

I think Texas State has a better offense than Kent, but only 1 strong starter. Kent has better pitching. I like Kent's chances against Texas State.
Texas has some awesome pitching and a very good offense. I don't like Kent's chances against them, but it's baseball, so you never know (especially if you have two top pitching staffs going at each other).

The poster that said that our strength lies in the bat is exactly right. We can crush the ball, and string together some two-out hitting. Our starting pitching is alright, but I always worry about our ability to close games.
