...but they have to do it ASAP. Meaning they have to bring in some current Division I schools. Winthrop and Radford would be my main objectives. UNC-A has been mentioned in articles. Of course Longwood would be great if they were closer, but still better than a D-II that's in Georgia.
Personally, I think DII schools should not be a choice.
Yes I realize this is not easy to accomplish. You do have Longwood in the back pocket though as a fallback. Winthrop is a perfect fit without football. A good chunk of Radford's athletic staff + AD was ready to join before, but was blocked by their President I believe (is he/she still there??).
Go for broke. If we can get anywhere from 1-3 schools like these, the league actually becomes better without Belmont. Could Belmont's move actually HELP the A-Sun?

p.s. Sponsoring non scholarship football wouldn't hurt stability either.....
