I would think this would make Basketball heavy schools in confrences that share their revenues curiously intrested in maybe joining the MAC.

If the MAC can get a few wins in the NCAAs then all of a sudden we're talking bucks.

Can it happen?

KSU did it.

The CAA is doing it.

The Horizon Conference is doing it.

We just need ONE team to go on a good run to the Sweet 16. 04-bow

what happened to EMU men's basketball?
It used to be respectable and at times pretty great

Ball St was another high acheiver.
With such a small amount of money up for grabs I dont see how forcing more home games will help out. Having to pay teams to come in and play will cost more then teams would get in return. He wrote that it cost $45k for Eastern Illinios to come plat at WMU times that by 15 and your looking at $675 a year. I realize that you will make some of that up in tickets/concessions but I dont see it being worth it to the universities.

Steinbrecher is including in that 15 home game number the 8 game MAC conference home schedule.

The question though is will the plan backfire as more home games become more home losses? Only time will tell.

You shouldn't have to buy 8 games. 1-for-1 and 2-for-1 deals aren't impossible to get.
