Congrats to all on a great accomplishment! I particularly like to see our red-shirted players, graduate in 4 years, play their 5th and continue their education!

this is an area to be proud of. many schools pay lip service to this part of the players career, but NIU makes it a priority. We can all stress the negative like wd, but there is plenty to be proud of.
I have always been proud of NIU. Sometimes those of us who love the school are its worst critics which is OK as long as we keep it in the family.

I was once advised to never say anything negative in public about your Alma mater, this advice was given to me by a professor at another educational institution. It is something that I have always remembered. We are all ambassadors for NIU and how we represent our school matters in a cumulative manner.

Great post and so true. I am proud to be a Huskie because of our football program and because of the great education I received. We all should be proud. I have gotten to where I've gotten in my life because of NIU and because of hard work. However, some like WhiskeyDickhead have huge inferiority complexes and aren't happy with their career and life. It's apparently convenient for him to trash his alma mater and use it as an excuse as to why he has such a miserable life. I've got news for you....where you went to school is only part of a larger equation. Sure, an education from many Big Ten schools is a little better on paper, but there are many, many other factors. You will get out of your life and career what you put into it. Period. As the saying goes, excuses are like...well, you know the rest. I feel sorry for donkey's like WD who come on here and do the stuff they do. What a miserable way to go through life.
This is a strong point that must be used on the parents of possible recruits!

Good job Huskies!
