I like the idea of having lacrosse, but weve been sitting in a half finished football stadium for 3-4 years now. just ones opinion on how to spend the money i guess.

Good to hear and we're only the 4th D-1 in NC to have it (surprised Wake doesn't have it).

It's an affluent sport that might introduce CU to more deep pockets.

Wonder how long this has been in the works and to what extent Williamson was involved?
Just a guess, but maybe since the addition of football, Campbell had to pick up another women's sport to be in compliance with Title IX.

Just a guess but I don't think Title IX applies with a non-scholarship sport like football. It is more likely to try increase enrollment.
I was thinking Title IX when I first saw it announced.
This will certainly be convenient if/when football goes scholarship.

I caught a little of the NCAA lax tournament on TV a few days ago. Cornell was playing on their football field. I was told this would be a possibility at Campbell, too as the soccer field would take a beating if used again in the spring.
Are there updates to this? I didn't even know!

Allow me to say the move to BSC football is closer than you may think. I was told by good authority yesterday that the lacrosse thing is related to us going scholly in BSC football(Title IX). For non scholly football it wasnt needed. just something to ponder03-wink

Hope you are right!
Before scholarship the first order of business is probably to finish the football stadium. Just a guess but that would seem to be the logical next step. Then we will probably need to get lights. Then we can shoot for scholarships.
