Every time a grizzlie player shoots, the crowd yells

Yuuuuuu Oop!

Watching it on tv sounds like watching the Tigers play, gotta love the support. Yeah baby! 04-cheers

That was great fun to watch on TV. The Forum was rocking!
What a great game!!! Arthur was on fire!
Maybe someday we'll all just admit that we're just basketball fans.I'm a Tiger at heart, but I don't understand anyone not loving the Grizz.
The Grizzlies have won me over. This is exciting stuff. Wish I had paid a lot more attention to the Grizz before now.

Its the style of play that fits Memphis so well. Grind on D on kick ass on the offensive end. It is so easy to pull for a team that gets after it defensively vs that NY crap.

GRIND HOUSE!
I'm just glad I get to keep my signature up.

It's so easy for me to pull for Memphis. My hometown. I'll never understand all the haters.
It sounded rockin on TV. The best part was the announcers not having anything to say. They must have prepared for all possibilities except an 8 seed blowing the brakes off a 1 seed. It was awkwardly hilarious

Yeah, know what you mean. I followed them the first 4 years or so. Even living up here in northern Iowa I'd go up to Minneapolis every so often to see them play the Wolves. Then it died out for me.

Wish I'd followed them more this season.
could you imagine what it would be like if the Tigers could play NCAA tourney games at home?

I have been a Tiger and nothing but a Tiger my entire life. I have NEVER worn any other college jersey, t-shirt, shorts, jacket or anything other than Memphis Tiger gear. 18 members of my family (Brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces) have graduated from the University. But any team that wears Memphis on their chest can count me as a fan. I'm a MEMPHIAN !!!!!

It was pathetic. It's a good thing Charles was defending the Grizzlies after the game because the other TNT announcers were not going to give Memphis any credit.

After suffering through the 1st quarter on TNT, I sacrificed HD and watched the rest on Fox Sports. Much better announcers!
I am glad the grizzles are winning.

But- it is understandable why some folks do not love them.

Attend a regular season snooze fest or worse, attend a Saturday early start Tiger game, when the announcer yells for us to get out asap...or the ads, or the etc...etc...and other college environment killers and you will also see why. None oh which means the arena is not great or any of that but but but stuff.

With that- I hope they finish off the Bug eyes- but fully and completely understand- due to the business practices- why many do not love them.
TNT itself did a good job of visually portraying the crowd and had a great view of the city at Dusk (from the river side of mud island looking back over the pyramid and bridge).
I thought that Harland (the TNT play by play guy) not saying anything and letting the crowd noise take the broadcast to commercial was great, not akward.

Only you could f*ck up a great night to be a Memphian with your rant about insignificant bullsh*t.

I bet you are also one of the ones glad we play in an NBA arena and such a nice facility too.

playoff atmosphere is about 100x better than regular season, simply saying could you imagine if NCAA tourney games were played at campus sites? Man.
