My son was wondering the other day if anyone has heard if HC Callaway plans on altering the uniforms or helmets. Just curious, we had picked up a new UAB hat the other day, the dark green one with the dragon logo and we started wondering if there would be any changes with the football uniforms.
Will the football team wear Nike uni's this year since the Bball team has changed. Sorry if that question has been answered in a previous post. Just wondering. TIA
No one on here has mentioned anything about uniforms possibly changing. If that gets proposed, we all need to march down to the football offices and ***** slap each and every one of them.
Please, please, please don't change one of the few to things to like about this football program in the last couple of years.
Several of us have all ready started lobbying the new AD for a permanent change to Gold pants for the football team. The all white unis suck and the Green and White look too much like Michigan State, Marshall, etc. The lobbying is basically for: Forest Green jersey w/ Old Gold pants for home games, White jersey w/ Old Gold pants on the road. What should change is the triple stack numbers on the jerseys. Anyone who has procured a jersey from e-bay knows that the triple stack makes the jersey feel like you're wearing a cardboard insert. I like the three colors (white w/black and gold highlights), but stacking 3 numbers on top of each other for that effect is too much. I've heard the same from several former players, but as usual XCWB didn't listen.

I'm not as worried about the colors of the pants/jerseys (I actually like the white pants better), but please, please, please do NOT remove Blaze from the helmet...he is only the most unique, most outstanding mascot in all of college sports...

I believe everyone has learned a lesson from CMD and the basketball unis. The women's team had the Dragon logo on their unis and had a pretty good year, the men had the stupid basketball logo and had some really bad outings (USM and SMU at home, Marshall on the road, etc). This fact has been pointed out to CMD so next year, expect to see the Dragon Logo back on the men's unis. Hopefully, CNC will learn from CMD's mistake: DONT MESS WITH THE KARMA OF THE DRAGON LOGO!

I remember it well. We got off to a big lead, but Rice just wouldn't go away (thanks, Coach Bolt).
At the end of the game, I saw Kyle Bissinger leaning over the fence, looking gassed. I said, "Look at the bright side: no more option teams on the schedule."
He let out a big belly laugh and said, "No sh!t!"
