There were a lot of heroes in the win over North Texas in the tournament. Everyone will remember Bozeman’s winning shot. But little D’Andre Williams had four clutch FTs and a key steal in the final 1:22 of the game. And he is coming back next season.
He is a winner and a key to success next year.
I'd say in many ways he was our best player against Asheville, too.
You feel good about the game when DeAndre's out there. He's a winner and will find a way, that's what winners do.
He gives you the same feeling that Graber did that "things are under control."

He also improved, more than any other player, during the course of the season. Bodes very well for next year. I guess you could argue Gus' case for most improved, but he really "came out of nowhere" more than improved.

As you say, Gus just "appeared" about the last three of the season. D'Andre just got better each and every week of the season.

Sometimes (maybe most of the time) with young big men the light just comes on one day and they "get it." Glad Gus "got it" early on.
